Seriously, if I don't get anything after 7 or 8, I just give up for the day. Them I try again later, and it seems to pay off

Them I try again later, and it seems to pay off[/quote] I've ran across a blog, that said try either the daily or regular vanguard heroic or legendary strikes, by playing the first two strikes without being buffed, then while third strike is loading use only one 3oC's, & you should get the exotic engram, next enter orbit, then repeat. Skeptical, yet curious, I tried it. It was actually successful!! With my kiddo, he's wasn't so lucky at first. But, after I removed the exotics from his current inventory slots and vaulted them, it was a score. ~But I hear there's a random number thingy?? Anyway, why don't you give it a whirl !! What can you lose? 😉

I do this too. If I don't get an exotic after 5-6 I'll quit using them for the day. My luck always improves the next day. A lot of the time I'll get one first try.

Thanks, they seem to have gotten worse and I thought they are supposed to stack.

I know they SAY it stacks, but I've never seen or heard any proof. I've heard of people using 20 or more with nothing to show. I personally have used 12 and gotten nothing at all, ran out of coins and couldn't continue. I've also heard that if you have already received an exotic or have it in your inventory, you're unlikely to get a duplicate. I've gotten truth and tlw more times than I can count, so that theory is bunk too.

A lot different methods I've seen. Some ppl activate at beginning, some wait til the end, some wait 10-15 min between uses. I use once every 3 crucible matches and during all strikes and taken bosses except omnigul and flayers. I average 1 about every 5 or 6 coins I would say.
