A group of people invited me to Oryx, (I guess the fireteam leader was in my friends list from way back). I joined and they told me that they had been attempting for over an hour. It started going smoother, but we had to adjust some things, like swapping positions etc. They were wanting Oryx challenge mode. It did take close to another hour. Usually the bombs were off, or a plate guy would have trouble with a knight and die while trying to get it. Finally we had all his health gone. We run to the middle, oryx pops up and.... Titan bubble. Random rocket (yes... rocket) murders half the team. Oryx gives the rest of us the clap. Most of them leave. I look at the clock and sigh. An hour and a half. On an Oryx fight we didn't finish that I couldn't get rewards from anyway. What is wrong with me?

  • My first ever attempt at KF, found a group that was looking for extra people but was happy to have newcomers join too. The group was unkind, rude, and totally unhelpful. I completely understand wanting to get shit done, but don't run a normal raid and invite newbies to join if that's the case, it's almost like they were born with the knowledge and didn't have to learn it themselves... It took me ages to have another go, I know people on the internet can be mean but it really put me off. I've since had another go with a lovely bunch of guardians, who were super patient and helpful so yay!

  • Any random tower invite I've ever gotten for a raid has been a disaster.

  • After xur sold no land beyond Tried to do a vog run, 4 members of the team refused to go down or use anything other then NLB. They just sat up top, spamming 2 shots at each goblin. We wiped several times before I just left.

  • I accepted a random invite to run VoG. They were at the Templar. I'd never set foot inside the Vault, so I accepted. This was before I'd found the forum and I had never heard the term "squeaker" before. How was I supposed to know that 12 year olds invited random old men to play video games with them. I could tell the young fellas were having a good time getting wrecked, it was just about the fun, they weren't raging or anything. I finally figured out they were having so much fun, they didn't care that they hadn't made any progress after an hour. I quietly took my leave. All in all it wasn't terrible.

  • Well, I do not raid with randoms. So I do not have any horror stories, mainly because my clan is usually drama free. Now, match making for heroics is another story altogether. Every single goddamn strike, there is some freaking jagoff that just sits at the spawn afk. Or You have the guy that is active all the way up to the boss fight and then goes afk once in the boss room. Or you have the guy that comes into level 41 PoE and kills everything with his heavy and then ports out because he completed his heavy bounty...Okay that guy was me, but you see what I mean
