Bungie confirmed in the last two major updates that Engrams are time stamped to the time they are dropped and will not drop new gear based on when they are opened. Be prepared for disappointment.

Last two? One including the twilight garrison, mida update? I think wrong. First engram I opened that day THAT I SAVED was a twilight garrison. Guess what the second one was. Just guess [spoiler]another twilight garrison[/spoiler]

No...he clearly said major updates. Everyone already knows that it worked for the exotics released last december......that's the one and only time that engram hoarding worked, was not a major update.

This is dlc....downloadable content. We haven't had anything like this before......it's much bigger than any other free update ever, but not so big as a paid dlc. But it does contain new content & an increase in level/light....and engram hoarding has never worked when new Content/level is added. But it worked for the update last december, so maybe bungie changed how it works......if I had to bet on it tho, I would bet that it dosent.

lol. It was a glitch they weren't suppose to be getting hence bungie actually releasing it with the update. Crota and HoW were dlc's "smart one". I'm not saying they will for sure, but they just might as they easily could. Even if they don't it's still cryptarch level up.

I won't argue about the crypt arch rank but this according to the way they are pushing it off to be is a "dlc" even though all it is is bungie being lazy and reskining shit they already have.

Dlc only means downloadable content. This is not a paid dlc....it's free dlc. This update is unique, but engram hoarding has never worked when there was new content, and higher max level/light with the update, or dlc or whatever.

Yes....by definition it is. What don't you understand....."dlc" is an abbreviation of the term downloadable content.......this update has new playable CONTENT that we DOWNLOAD. Paying money for it, or its relative size does not define whether it is dlc or not.

I don't care what you are anyone else "considers" you don't get to just make up your own definitions of what words mean. You have Internet access.....go ahead & see what the definition of dlc is. I know exactly what this is, and as I said twice already, this update is unique, we haven't seen one exactly like this before, but with any past dlc, or update where they released new content/level....engram hoarding hasn't worked.
