I would base it off of MK1, with some touches of how MK9 told it. It would end with Liu Lang beating Shang Tsung. Characters would be the same as they were in MK9 but without Nightwolf, Baraka, Sheeva, and Jade. I would have a mix of some of the klassic fatalities and some of the new ones If it's successful, I'd make a sequel and maybe spinoff films for Scorpion & Sub-Zero

Scrap the MK story as a whole(not entirely at first) and crest movies to set up and establish the mkverse much like Marvel. Obviously start out with Scorpion and Sub-zero's feud to draw in interest

Basically the events of mk 1 are about to be changed by some new comer baddy and so our favorite cast goes to step them. However our new baddy as of mk x wants to do the same and warp around this mortal kombat tournament. We this get a 3 way war of all or favorite characters in their revenant and mortal forms. Movie would be a trilogy. We'd have quite a nice roster of new comers that'd mix with our mk x newcomers and the classics. Thoughts?
