"Road Trip! Road Trip! Legitimate Road Trip Peeps! Oh, I'm sorry. You must have caught my hype. I am super excited to be releasing this chapter. No Hive to ruin it this time.
P.S. I did a drawing of Cody's ghost, Ace."

**This Series is in many points of view. In this chapter (warning: HYPE asured) it's from Chase's view**
Kyra and Blake were bored. They got stuck in a jinx for nearly fifteen minutes.
"I'm so bored," they said in sync,
"Stop saying the same thing I am. We should go on a road trip or something. Stop it! Jinx. Double jinx. Triple hi-jinx. Umm. Watermalone jinx. Damn it! Somebody help us! Please. Chase, Mark do something. Dwayne, Cody? HELP!!!! Jinx. Guardian jinx. Guardian double jinx. Triple hi-jinx. Breaker jinx. Slayer jinx. Reaper jinx. Lucky 7th column jinx. Eight-ball jinx. What is an 8-ball?..."
"Road Trip... Hmm... Not a bad idea," Cody replied.
I shot Mark-54 a glance.
"Remember what happened last time?" I whispered.
"I know, but Cody is my friend," the exo replied, "It will be on Earth. We have a less likely chance to find Hive there."
Reluctantly, I agreed, "Road Trip it is," I announced.
"Pack up some marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate, boys, we're going on a road trip," Kyra said.
"S'mores!" Blake yelled. I guess that is his new battle cry. I can hear him yell the words: "Taste the awesomeness of S'mores. Or Watermalone. Or whatever."
And Kyra will be like: "Watermalone, S'mores! Taste the awesome!"
Sarah will show up out of nowhere and yell: "S'mores FIGHT!!" Then she'll throw one at a Fallen captain.
I couldn't help but laugh out loud. Blake shot me a glance reading: Dude, what's so funny?
Then he realized his battle cry. He thought the same thing I did, and laughed.
"To the Cosmodrone!" Cheese declared.
It was nearly sunset when we arrived. That meant we had to act quickly: Pitch the tents (Yes there are still tents) and start the campfire.
"I don't know if I've ever pitched a tent in my life," I admitted.
"For a while, I didn't either," Cody replied, "Mark and I used to make runs on striking the Fallen while Sarah was asleep. Before that, Mark made us go camping as a Fireteam, and Sarah was the only one who knew how to pitch a tent."
"I wonder how she knows," I mumbled.
"I tried to get her to talk about how she knew, and she said she had at least three lives before this one. Some of the memories resurface. In her first life, she went camping with her 'Girl Scout troop' whatever that is, and often pitched tents."
I glanced at Kyra. Her tent was already pitched. She was looking around for something to drag in front of her tent to sit on.
"Do you think her and Kyra were in the same group?" I asked.
"This was way-way before the Collapse. I doubt it."
I glanced at Kyra again. Something seemed oddly familiar about her. I just couldn't think what. Maybe Cody was wrong, and they were...
Now that I think about it, Sarah seemed the same kind of familiar. As if we knew each other. Same thing about Mark, except maybe not as an exo. Blake and JJ... Those names seemed familiar.
Kyra found a huge log and was dragging it to her tent. The sun had turned the sky into a prism of colors: indigo, a darker sky blue, a rich orange, and a firey pink.
Blake was still struggling to put the stakes in the ground. Otherwise he didn't have any trouble.
Cody was looking around. He glanced at the log Kyra was dragging.
"Mark, shouldn't we get a campfire going. It's getting dark out."
"I don't see any good firewood around, besides the log Kyra's dragging," Mark replied.
"Hey! Don't use my log!" she protested.
"We won't use the whole thing, only half of it," Cody replied.
Reluctantly, Kyra agreed. Mark used his knife to cut the log. I hope isn't the decoy. No, this was a throwing knife. As he tried to break through the log, the handle of the knife fell off. The blade was stuck in the log.
"Son of a b***h!" he muttered loudly.
He took out his lucky bladedancing knife decoy, and stabbed the log. The place where the throwing knife managed to cut. The half of the log came straight off.
Cody picked up the log and hauled it to the middle of the semi-circle that the tents were set up in.
Mark cut the log into three pieces. He arranged the logs into a triangular pyramid shape. He pulled out a flaming hand cannon. He aimed straight at the arranged set of wood. It caught up in flames.
"That's funny. I remember something. From a long time ago. I think I was camping with two other people. Girls my age at the time," Kyra said, "We were camping. There was a lodge at this campsite. There were other girls there too. Most of them younger than us. One of the three of us that were older than the others, Sarah, I think her name was, was cooking a sandwitch over the campfire. It was a starry night. No, it was cloudy and one of the adults pulled out her phone and used a skymap app. Anyway, Sarah began to tell stories about the constellations. I got bored and went back to the lodge to get something. Ten minutes later, she came back to the lodge. She opened the box on the iron stick that the sandwitch was cooking in and the piece of bread was burnt. She also opened it the wrong way and the burnt sandwitch fell to the ground. Sarah said,
'Well, that failed. I'm gonna get me another cup of hot chocolate and see if Brina will go back to the campfire, hopefully to remind me not to burn this next grilled cheese.' Ha Ha. I didn't laugh then but now I laugh because it was long time ago."
"Coscidence, that you remember now when I was just about to tell you guys that I have some stuff," Cody said.
"Stuff?" Blake asked.
"Mark knows what I'm talking about," Cody replied.
"I do?" Mark asked.
"The just-in-case pack."
"Which one. Andromeda or S'mores-Grilled_Cheese-Hotdog pack?"
"Andromeda?" I asked.
"Doesn't matter. Yes, I have the S'mores-Grilled_Cheese-Hotdog pack. I always do."
"Are you going to get it?"
"Yeah, give me a minute."
Cody went around, skirting the arrangement of tents. His ghost, Ace followed him. Apparently, he was digging through the cockpit of his ship.
I just wondered why I had an odd feeling that story Kyra told us, seemed so familiar, like I've heard it before. A long time ago. I had to ask.
"Kyra, how did you know that story?" I asked.
"I...I don't know. A memory resurfaced," She replied.
"Do you think you were awoken when this occurred?"
"I doubt it. Why do you ask? Have you heard this story before?"
"No, it just seems vaguely familiar. It wasn't worded the same way."
"I think I heard this story before too, recounted just like that. Instead of the 'others,' and 'three older than the others' the words, 'younger Girl Scouts,' and the name, 'Kabrina.' It's like you told me this story yourself," Blake added.
"Can you think of a date?" I asked.
"This memory just came back to me. I don't think it gives me a date," Kyra replied.
"Maybe we should drop it. I barely can keep up with these ideas," Mark intervened.
Cody was back. He was carrying some sort of bag.
"What the hell?" Blake asked.
"Oh this?" Cody asked. He dug through the it. He pulled out a set pile of iron fashioned into a long sticks with the end shaped into a "U" for some reason.
There were eight of them, all stacked. Blake picked one up and pointed it at me.
"Blake, don't do that," Cody told him while still rummaging through the bag.
"Why not? I am obligated to test the lethality of all things pointy," Blake replied.
"You don't need to. One time Cody and I were doing one of our midnight runs, and we had a sword fight with those. We got a little too crazy. Long story short I knocked off his helmet and now he has a scar down the left side of his face," Mark explained.
"Okay," Blake replied.
By now, the sky was no longer lit up with many colors. Instead, it was lit up with stars. Hundreds, thousands. And the moon. Now that I know about the Hive... the less said about the moon, the better.
Back on Earth, it was so dark that the only light came from the campfire, Puma, Ace, Havoc, Flame, and Cheese.
Cody finally found what he was looking for. He pulled out a bag of large marshmallows. He grabbed an iron stick and two marshmallows. He stuck one on each end of the "U." Then he stuck it above the flames of the campfire.
I realized that that he was roasting marshmallows.
Blake used the iron stick to do the same. I couldn't help but do the same. Kyra just copied the idea.
"What are the most memorable moments you've had so far?" Kyra asked.
