Infinite "HELP ME." Loop
Hello, ladies and gentlemen of the Destiny community. Oryx hardmode challenge. Everyone is always excited about it. Been trying to get a team all week. Nothing. No-one joins. It's not just this, either, it's a long story, but I'll just make it clear.
Tuesday, 16th of February, 2016 - Reset Day:
Trying to look on the raiding communities for people. Finally get a team together but it quickly breaks up. Can't accomplish anything for the rest of the day.
Wednesday, 17th of February, 2016:
Finally quickly got a team together. Did nothing but Oryx all morning. Team broke up. Nothing accomplished. Tried to get people in the evening but no-one would want to respond.
Thursday, 18th of February, 2016 - Beef:
No-one would join in the morning. In the evening, a friend helps in getting people for the challenge. Friend just leaves and is later seen doing Oryx with some other people. Argument with friend. Friend didn't complete the challenge, though.
Friday, 19th of February, 2016 - Psycho and Tears:
In the morning (same) friend does normal Oryx to help some other guys. Nothing is accomplished. In the evening, a team of six is formed but friend randomly leaves to do the same thing (Oryx hardmode challenge) with some other guys. Friend actually completes it with random guys. Big beefy but 'polite with some cursing' argument with friend. I delete friend. I cry. I am disgusted by myself but also by what he did. I'm sad now. What happened?..
Well, you now know what happened. Some parts I didn't add. Got deleted by 3 friends and I deleted 1 other friend apart from the friend that I talked about. 'thethreeamigos27'.
Well, are you like me or do you just want to do the challenge mode? Send me a message. Please... Help me...

Rather then LFG, I prefer to use The 100. Yo join a group and make events up in advance, then people of that group commit to the event before it happens. Or you join one. And because the group is made up of the same 100(ish) people, you might even get a regular raid team together

The people you are wasting time with must be noobs. Maybe even you too. It really isn't that difficult. I think the longest one for me this week was about an hour. Mainly due to platforms not spawning in. Lfg group. Allocate roles and discuss full intended method whilst supers charge. As long as you have a quick runner, at least one titan (not necessarily required) and people who can snipe a red bar knight, you're good. Heck, beat it with 5 random players this week.

4 RespuestasLess whining would help. Your friend (s) is (are) not responsible for getting you through anything. They get invited to do something with someone, but they are not obligated to take you with them. You said it yourself - you made no progress, and they weren't willing to use, or didn't have, the time to keep trying. If you want to do the raid regularly, find players from the same area (timezone) and agree on a time to raid (i.e. Thursday at 7pm - whatever works) Then stick with that team, instead of getting new people every time, to build teamwork and efficiency. This way, you will be able to do 3-4 raids a week in no time. Getting everyone to understand and get the timing down on the different mechanics is the main issue, and that takes practice. Not 1 run with different people once every week. Unless they have a team and will carry you, in which case, you are the weak link, and need to do what you are told.

It'd be cool if you linked your account so we could see why maybe? Also if you match systems people will probably offer to help. I've done Oryx Challenge 5 times this week - ended up helping some friends. Not everyone is so mercenary!

1 RespuestaSeems like you either: 1. Are capable of doing Oryx CM, but don't communicate your capability to other via LFG and/or in-game. 2. You are not capable of doing Oryx CM, and people know/see that. (Source: hard time forming group on LFG, friend leaving to do with other people)

2 RespuestasHad mine all done by noon on Tuesday. You need a set raid group, but if you haven't found one with the raid being out for what, 6 months now, you're probably not going to find one.

1 RespuestaWednesday am- goes on LFG, join team within 5mins. Complete HM with challenge on first toon. Wednesday pm- see above, second toon. Thursday am- goes on LFG, joins team runs through to Oryx on HM, people have to leave... Thursday pm- posts on LFG for four more to do Oryx HM cp with challenge, people join and complete within 20mins.... I was thinking to myself that as a whole people have got a lot better at the HM raid and it is easy to complete with randoms from LFG....
