Marathon did this to me too. The only thing that worked for me was to just play in shorter increments, which is a crappy solution.

Yup, Durandal on XBLA was the first game that made me feel it. Something to do with the sky... Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure it was one massive sprite. Flurk.
