Bump, but remove hidden hand and unflinching on snipers, rangefinder on shotguns and explosive rounds on scout rifles from the possible perks. I primary snipe and do not use either of those perks but if they were not allowed to be reformed for it would prevent rage about the system and keep bungie from wrongly needing snipers rather than re-buffing pulse rifles again.

I'm just getting into PvP on my warlock. Tried for a while on my hunter but hated it. I was really addicted to reforging.

Could you imagine how scarce weapon parts would be if they brought it back?!? I'm with you though. Another fun thing removed because they didn't want everyone using the same weapons in the crucible...oh wait, that changed nothing!!!

B. U. M. P. Biggest reason why I began looking for something else to play. And I love this game, and am so bent that they have REALLY screwed it up in year 2.

I think it should return with iron banner only. It was never a problem until you could do it for every weapon.

I would love to have reforge back. I have mostly stopped playing Destiny for the past couple weeks because I am just sick of not getting good rolls on guns OR armor To this day I still don't have any year 2 legendary shotguns or snipers that I actually like, not to mention few good rolls on anything else. I'm also sick of having to choose between wearing my favorite cool looking armor with crappy perks and attributes, or the ugliest of all armor with -almost perfect- stat and perk roles. I'm tired of grinding faction ranks and holding onto gunsmith packages hoping to just get the item I want, let alone with the perks I want. And almost always being let down. Vendor Hung Jury is the only gun sold that actually has EVERYTHING I wanted in a Scout Rifle. Max stability, a good mag size, triple tap and firefly (both perfect for scouts) on top of the typically fast reload cancel that scouts have along with their high natural range, plus my preferred cqc iron sight for added versatility to the all-around scout type? Its pretty much perfect for me. Why can't I have anything else with the rolls I want? Its disappointing and discouraging. I just want a high impact shotgun with full auto, fast base reload speed without feeding frenzy, and sensible range. The last perk would preferably be army of one or final round. And have more than 3 fricking shots. I want a high impact sniper with triple tap, extended mag, and firefly along with a short zoom scope. I want a low impact fast firing sniper with max stability, a crapton of ammo, army of one, and short zoom scope. I had to hold onto a package and wait over a month to get a arminius-d auto rifle (max fire rate type), from the gunsmith with focused fire, braced frame, and the holosight. I had to settle for crowd control although I would rather have counter balance. Come on man I'm so sick of hoping and waiting to get my ideal guns... It would help if Bungie actually made useful perks too... Until then I am losing interest in Destiny.

As much as I am a proponent of bringing back the HoW era as it was the best era I feel with out much of a doubt in the history of the game; I don't really care about re forging. I never used it much personally and thanks to Etheric Light I was rocking my Zombie and other pre HoW killers anyway that were already better than what I would get dropped in HoW. However, I have seen some people say "well you didn't have to look for guns you just created them" - not entirely true. You couldn't re forge impact, range, etc as far as the raw stats, you could only do the perks. So I mean, crap gun was still crap gun IMO with or without re forge. So it wasn't as bad as people make it out to be outside of crucible but that is a whole different issue.

Fools complaining that forging had everyone rolling OP weapons so they take it out and everyone just uses the same 5 weapons that come OP stock. Real improvement...

I have an idea for how to implement it too. Reforge requires 3 blue weapons or 1 legendary of the same category, being primary special or heavy. This way there is still a grind involved and returning to town will grant a smaller number of chances at reroll. I would personally prefer to be able to craft the perks I wanted on a weapon though, and have to farm a variety of materials, some dropping from strike bosses. I mean you gain "experience" with weapons, the perks should be chosen after you've determined what your weapon needs to be better. The idea is that you're literally making attachments and modifications to the weapon anyways, why would anyone mod a weapon for something they don't want?

If they bring back reforge which I am not for. There needa to be limits to stop the abuse seen in HoW. Everyone ran the same thing. Final round sniper. Shotpackage and rifled barreld shotgun. Stability hopscotch. Grenade and horseshoe rocket. It was boring as hell. If they bring it back they need to limit How many times you can reroll or introduce a new consumables you need to reforge like an exotic shard style item thay is very hard to come by.

No. Reforge ruined Crucible because all the tryhard losers reforged until they got a Godroll for their gear. People who.wamt reforge back are tryhard noobs who just need to git gud.
