When crota -blam!-ed up and let vex into oryx's throne world, oryx threw him through a portal, telling him to make a name for himself or die forgotten and erased. Hive culture is all about the right to exist. If you are not strong enough to survive, you are erased from existance. I have a running theory that Nokris was crota's sibling and that they also -blam!-ed up in some spectacular way but unlike crota, they were unable to make themselves important, or died while trying and thus was forgotten and wiped from existance. As the child of the king, who was not strong enough, and made themself no legend, they were likely wiped from all records to save oryx the shame.

Editado por assaily: 11/10/2015 7:48:52 PMIt was likely carved before Nokris messed up. So it just kinda chills out now. Kind of like how the books of sorrow talk about the euceme even tho they were wiped out too, as one final 'these guys fought kinda hard so we should give them a mention'. Nokris might not have been a complete failure, but enough of one to not be considered to be remembered in any other way. But the statue remains as their sole cameo. This is just a theory, by the way. They may still be alive somewhere or something and that statue was bungie dropping a foreshadow bomb or something. The disgraced prince comes to reclaim his dead father's throne. It's too early to be entirely sure. Edit: there's also a verse in the books that takes the pov of one of oryx's children. It's assumed that it was crota being a silly teenager, but it could have been Nokris too. It seems out of place compared to all the rest.
