Are you sure you are looking for the correct materials? Void sword requires relic iron and void ability kills.
Arc and solar blade require different things

It says relic crystals, and void ability kills. Only grenade, and melee for Titan. I'm at 0% relic crystals on Mars which comes from relic shards. According to the quest line. 245 relic iron is collected. I'm at 5% void ability kills. I'm about 1.5 to 2 hours into this, and have nothing.

you made it sound like youve been there for like seven hours. the relic crystals is luck. and, chests do not count. you have to pick it from the resource node itself

Very bad to of picked the void sword with the titan.. no super to get void ability kills. you just have grenade and fist. And the rare material comes from relic iron veins only. in depth guide https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/3melfi/in_depth_exotic_sword_quest_guide/ i also found it best not to continuously farm one area. I farmed front area got a rare mat. then moved to the next. got a mat and continued to different areas. rinse and repeat.

Yeah, I had to collect about 350 relic iron on mars before all 10 materials popped. Void kills on titan is brutal. I was on my hunter for that part. I would put on armentamian chest, and go to the moon story on easy level that all the hive rush out. Grenade, grenade, melee, let knight kill you, wipe, rinse, repeat
