Legendary Mark Guide (Total Amount of Marks a Week + MORE!)
Hey Guardians i'll take any feedback , thanks!
(*Dailies can only be done with one character)
*Daily Story : 15 Marks
*Crucible Daily : 15 Marks
Weekly Heroic Strike : 10 Marks (Can be done 3 times ONE CHARACTER) Total of 30 but ONCE A WEEK.
*EDIT* You can also earn 10 legendary marks 3 times through the weekly crucible! 30 marks once a week.
WEEKLY HEROIC AND CRUCIBLE CAN BE DONE A TOTAL OF 3 TIMES , you can do ONE per character, or 3 for one character!
*EDIT 2* Yes you can also DISMANTLE YEAR 2 legendaries in order to earn legendary marks , you may recieve 3 to 5 marks depending on how much it is leveled up. ALSO you may do specific QUESTS that reward you with Legendary Marks , sadly i do not think you can repeat them.
Total in ONE DAY : 90 on RESET DAY (with weekly heroic strike and crucible ) 30 AFTER RESET DAY (after doing the weekly heroic and crucible.)
REMEMBER YOU CAN ONLY HOLD 200 MARKS until you spend them , there isnt a limit of marks you can earn , but there is a limit on how much you can hold , and also the marks act as glimmer, it is shared between characters. ALSO remember to spend your marks around the 150 mark , there isnt anything that is more expensive than 150 at the moment (that i know of).
Weekly Total : 210 with Dailys only , 270 with weekly Heroic strike and crucible added. (Not sure but i hear heroic strike farming may reward legendary marks as well as nightfall , i cant confirm)
*EDIT 3* NOTE : We may have about 8 to 9 weeks left of taken king before the next expansion comes along (based on the fact that The Dark Below expansion came out in early December) so use your marks WISELY! You may not have much time to mess around purchasing everything lol. So i dont have a calculator and i suck at math but you may have a total of 2,500 marks give or take.

1 RespuestaOnce all the daily/weekly ways are finished, would spamming the hell out of 36 strikes be the fastest way to earn marks? (Off random legendary drops i mean.)

2 RespuestasFor me the most I can get will be: Daily x3 = 45 Crucible x3 = 45 Weekly heroic x3 = 45 Weekly crucible x1 = 10 Overall each week = 145 So I am going to be a bit behind I guess.

1 RespuestaAs the expansion goes on I find myself feeling less and less inclined to grind legendary marks. Sure I'd be able to upgrade some exotics, but there just isn't enough variety in how they can be earned to capture my interest and the risk of anything I grind for becoming obsolete in a few months is too high. And having half my potential for marks being tied up behind a game mode that I don't feel inclined to put the effort into certainly does not help.

One thing. IMO it's better to spend them at 180-190 because then you have 30-40 for infusing before you earn more.

7 RespuestasQUESTION!!! I dint play a frequently, so i have never had over 200 legendary marks. Is the 200 mark cap still present? Or since they basically combined vanguard and crucible marks, is the cap higher, or non-existant? What is the legendary mark cap?

2 RespuestasThe currency system and stuff will not be changing again in this destiny title. The stat cap on gear may go up. The level cap may even go up. But I've got a feeling legendary marks are here for a year.

2 RespuestasPersonally I find it kind if annoying... before TTK I'd hit the Vanguard Strikes for a few hours at a time, mostly for laughs and the few engrams but I was getting my marks and slight rep gain too. Now there's really no point after you've done 3 for the week. It's like they don't want us to play the game or something?!

1 RespuestaNot sure if this is what you're trying to say but you can only get the 30 marks from the heroic strikes on one character. It's account wide. It's best to do one strike per character though for that guaranteed legendary of the week.

3 RespuestasWhile there's no guarantee of the quantity - the 3 marks you get from breaking Y2 legendary items is also another source. Also, while we (or most of us anyway!) are still in the early phases of TTK there are some of the quests that pay marks. I know this only pays once, not repeatedly, but at the moment it might be the major source of marks for many of us? I'd like to see a list of which quests pay marks and how many from each one. I'll start you with "Dread Patrol" from Cayde-6. The one where you place the 3 beacons (that unlocks a whole load of other quests). It pays 25 marks.

2 RespuestasI got 25 marks in HC strike but I'm not sure if it was random or because it was the 5th one I did. I didn't get anything when I turned in the quest so it's possible that the reward popped for completing the 5th one. But I've seen people say they've had it multiple times. My problem is weapon parts rather than marks lol. I got more legendaries than I know what to do with.

1 RespuestaYou forgot about the weekly crucible playlist, it gives 10 marks per win up to 30 marks. Thats an extra 30 a week.
