So, I was reading the lore recently and discovered that Thorn was originally a Hand Cannon called Rose. Well what if Bungie let us obtain this through a series of quests. Think of it like watering a plant (Yes I used a shitty pun). Through "Restoration" you could receive a new Exotic Hand Cannon called "Rose". Like all exotics, it would have its own perks. I was thinking something along the lines of "Solarsynthesis". It's a perk that makes one Bullet in the Chamber deal Solar damage. "Yor's not Mine", a perk that activates when there's only 1 bullet left (meaning no reserved ammo, only one bullet left in the chamber) your supercharge will start to charge faster and faster until your reload and/or find more ammo. If bungie decided to do something like this, they could make it a really complicated quest line. Like this if you support the idea.
