Just said crashed ship. Boats are small, ships are big. I can see where you are headed, but remember that Crota was fought before and Oryx too. This isn't the first time we've seen this ship, otherwise, we wouldn't have attacked it head on like the Awoken did. We would have approached it as a recon mission only to find it to be a spacial nightmare waiting to kill us all. We've known about Oryx and his Dreadnaught for awhile now.
