It's simply not true, you can hit a arc shield enemy and do damage to their health bar while taking down the shield. Second, it doesn't take a full clip to take down a shield, it is usually 2-3 shots of the same weapon aka an arc weapon for an arc shield. I'm taking a full clip of 12 to lower the shield even of a high impact sniper. The topic is for bungie, I play the game a lot and know how it works and don't need your opinion. I've never had it work that way. The only time it takes 2-3 shots to take down a shield in a nightfall is when there's a burn for the damage type you are using and you're taking down the right kind of shield. Otherwise it takes many shots, even with the right element, to take it down. And there's never bleed-through with shields, you have to take them all the way down before you can do ANY damage to their health. And shields do not take precision damage. Keep in mind that the Thorn bounty does include the Epic modified same as any nightfall which, but it has no burns of any type. The nightfall modifiers this week do not include a burn of any type either so maybe that's where the issue is coming from.

I've got a 3645 grimore... I know... and I'm not asking you. I'm stating for bungie... aka not "ThekaiserEcho" what I'm seeing and that it is taking a lot more than normal to lower a shield. Even with lag it is just 5 Faitbringer shots for an arch shield. I'm getting the response as if my weapon were kinetic, I've noticed it on more weapons I equip. A player next to me can drop it normally... as in 3-5 shots depending on the lag or 1 shot by a high impact sniper. I'm taking 4-6 rounds of high impact sniper rounds to lower a shield. I have field scout and clown cartridge and only the last two rounds did actual damage. The amount of damage per shot has dramatically reduced from last week per shot, on things with or without burn. I'm not a newbie, I actually know more than you about this, I would appreciate if you take your "advice" and go find someone whom needs it... aka not me. Even the Gally is taking half the wolfpack rounds to lower the shield, not the initial blast but half the wolf pack rounds too, they are stronger than crota... but I'm sure that's normal... I mean I don't help 40-100 players a week on raids, strikes, bounties and story mode... so I have no clue what damage should be taken from an enemy-- note sarcasm.

Yup, that sounds correct to me. Even a yellow wizard with fire shields usually takes two G-horn shots. Especially in the Thorn version of Phogoth. Good luck with your Thorn bounty!

Dude, you are dumb. It's not the wizards it is any yellow bar... aka the knights or the acolytes. I've done the Thorn bounty over 10 times for myself and close to 100 times helping someone. I've just doing it to shard it. Has nothing to do with the Thorn bounty, so stop making dumb comments. It's happening in story mode, everywhere but the raids.
