Non-subscription MMO

I am not going to say destiny doesn't have areas that need to be fixed or that I am blind and think it's a perfect game. I have played for 300 hours and can admit I got my money's worth. This is a persistent world and needs money to continue. most games like this use subscriptions to continue creating content.

  • As far as I can tell we paid $100 for a single game that is lackluster. Swtor and gw don't make you pay sub and they still have more content than this game did. What's really bad is the staffing. This AAA cast have about 100 devs and can't compete with Minecraft on content. I'm sure Minecraft doesn't have 100 devs working on it. I think it was one man show at the start......

    • Destiny is the worst RPG Online that i know. If you are saying that Destiny is vigger or more valuable than WoW, SWTOR, GW2 or ESO, you are simply wrong.

    • The main difference between a MMO and Destiny is they have a lot of content. I'm with you, it's possible a lot of stuff will be fixed with TTK. But I'm not holding my breath, and with £40 DLC a year and £20 DLC every few months I may as well be paying a sub.

    • Those games have new areas. Not areas where you enter from a different angle. They also have a sufficient amount of space to store items. While the subscription more than makes up the bulk of their worth, the base game doesn't cost near as much.

    • No story or content No real open world environment Gear made useless with every DLC and forced to grind new gear to artificially inflate player numbers No player trading Being told how to play the game No endgame matchmaking in game Bungie should be paying us to play Destiny. By the way Destiny is NOT an MMO. Want to debate me? Go play a real MMO and come back.

      • A point that a lot of people seem to miss...to be fair, Destiny doesn't consider itself to be a mmo, more just a -blam!-ing massive fps - but all that aside, money for hours spent being entertained is bloody well worth it.
