I love this game and I'm going for the lowest price in my range. It's going to be the $40 Digital Taken King as I see it as a great value. I own the [b]Original Digital Guardian Edition for $89.98[/b] (ie so I'm happy and have found contentment) and now I'm getting $39.99 Taken King with my VIP Rewards (which are way cooler and more affordable tbh) and maybe some other stuff (ie. that so quote: "And we’ll have more fun stuff for you to announce in the very short term future, just for you."). I got the Original Digital Guardian Edition (as already mentioned) that gave me: - Red and White exclusive Legendary Ghost Shell (which is my most prized item in the collection) - Legendary Player Ship (which is kind of bland looking) - Legendary Player Emblem (not that spectacular but nice none the less) -ie. Nobody else can get the above items unless you bought this Digital Guardian Edition version might I add, - Legendary EV-30 Tumbler Sparrow (for getting the Expansion pass that came with the Digital Guardian Edition before the first expansion came out) - Expansion pass (which came with the Guardian Edition). Newcomers and partial buyers (buyers that got only one expansion) will buy that $60 Legendary Edition. Hardcore Vets/Newcomers will get that Digital Collectors Edition and get those emotes, emblem and shader junk. The reasoning I see behind it is that Vets want it just because the you want everything everything and those new comers will get some nic-nacks. [i]In reality those collectible items that nobody else has will have the feeling of "I got cool awesome stuff!" Then it will be put in the vault and the feeling will subside once you play that NEW RAID/ End Game material that gives you way better items then the collectors Edition stuff. Because yes having those collectibles is nice, but once you have them you're going to move on to the next best thing which is the RAID gear. [/i] So therefore, I'm going to sit back and relax with my $40 Digital Download and reap my VIP rewards with a Satisfied feeling and wait patiently for the "more fun stuff for you to announce" that Bungie has in store for for vets. Stop stressing yourselves on how much money you should blow away when it's obvious that you should buy the cheapest thing you can get with the most value. Long term vets should highly consider the $40 editions. Make your decision just move on and game on already ;D PS: That $20 Digital Upgrade to the Collector's Edition sounds silly and I'm not buying for two reasons: - First,It's two expensive, $20 more for those few little items?
