Husk of the pit drop rate is DISGUSTING.
So, just wanted to throw this out there briefly. I got the crux of crota from hard mode Crota's End...since then I have killed the blade of crota in the fist of crota mission a total of around 400 times spanning 5-10 hours of farming (check my Hunter, under my legend page for match history, I'm currently on a 100-200 kill run now), I've legitimately lost track of the time I've spent on this; and I can't get it to drop.
Just wanted to bring it to the attention of the powers that be, because I'm certain that the vision for this weapon was not repeating the same checkpoint 4...5...[b]600[/b] times over to get a drop. I [i]KNOW [/i]that it wasn't and I'm pretty sure someone's boss would have a few not-so-nice words to say if they knew this was happening.
I have replayed this damn checkpoint so many times now that I am min-maxing my sword swings to adjust my muscle memory to fly down the tunnel and kill myself with a tripmine in the shortest amount of time possible.[b] FIX IT, IT'S BROKEN.[/b]
(I may have had too much to drink before posting this, BECAUSE I HAVE TO DRINK TO NOT WANT TO SHOOT MYSELF WHILE FARMING THIS SHIT.)

1 RespuestaI'm pretty sure Bungie announced that the drop is glitched right now since HoW came out. I don't think it's dropping at all at the moment, might want to check that out before wasting anymore time farming for it

Bungie has commented that it isnt currently dropping as intended. Stop grinding for it until they patch it

2 RespuestasI love how everyone is all "Its crap, you don't want it" Clearly we -blam!-ing do, alright? It's not about having some super crazy awesome hive gun that makes ppl splode. It's to finish up the grimoire, get the card, get the lore, finally being able to say 'see I got that too'. It's the flagship weapon from the dlc. The only weapon that "levels up" in rarity. Do you people honestly think it's being farmed because people actually NEED it? Like we're gonna go to the crucible straight away and try to face roll everyone with it? I get it won't be used. And as soon as I get the stupid thing it's getting locked away in the vault. That doesn't mean I don't want to have it just for the sake of having it. 95% of the exotic weapons are shit, but yet if you look in everyone's vault you'll still see them.

I have an Eidolon Ally sitting in my vault that's fully leveled & has been waiting for a Crux for 6 months.. I know I'll never use necro but it's one of 3 exotics I have left to get.

I did it on hard and it dropped on my first try i upgraded it into the eidolon ally now it sits in my vault waiting till the day i get crux of crota

Got my husk a week or two after I got the game. Pretty sure it dropped during a patrol. It's been sitting in my vault since. Wish I could give it to you. Probably never going to attempt to upgrade it because, well, the necro sucks ass

4 RespuestasI tried farming for it in the Fist of Crota, put on some TV series on my laptop to make it easier. Gave up after 3h, went to do a patrol bounty on the Moon and picked it up from the first Blade that spawned there. It's bollocks that they've removed them from the Cosmodrome and Moon but still put put up 'kill 3 blades' and 'kill Hive with a sword on Earth' Eris bounties - only do those when upgrading some shiny new loot.

I'm not trolling or trying to be disrespectful but why? Why the heck would you spend that much time of your life on a gun that NO ONE likes ????????? I understand you want the 100% exotics but at what cost but seriously. Guns like the necro should be ooh hey I got that. Maybe I'll level it up... Maybe I won't. Plus an exotic that actual does less damage than the very first gun you receive in the game is a joke. Go out and get a beer, get a nice lady friend that lets you touch her naughty places, or go do drugs but don't waste your time on this gun.
