Why is the iron banner gear light level 36?
Why is it light level 36, when it should be level 42? I want to be rewarded for grinding my ass of in the iron banner, and all I get is mediocre gear? That's stupid

13 RespuestasYou can always ascend it should you choose. If you look at past Iron Banners, Bungie typically likes to up the light level throughout the "season" for future Iron Banners. Because house of wolves just launched and this is the first iron banner with it, the gear isn't max level. This is the same formula they launched with The Dark Below and initial game launch. IE - if you want to be an early adopter and ascend it early, go for it. If the past is an indicator of the future, expect the max light level to be purchasable later on.

2 RespuestasIt should be light 42 etheric lights are just to rare. It absolutely ridiculous how rare they are. I've only got 2 etheric lights. 1 from iron banner rank 3 if I found out you only get 1 etheric at rank 5 and I can't buy more than 1 then I'm trading this game in. I already got armor that speed's up reload speed or carry more ammo for them guns so why do I need to buy iron banner armor. It's just more crap that's gonna sit in my vault needing a etheric light.

Because the new endgame PvP content is Trials, while the new endgame PvE content is PoE. They limit the game types that yield max gear to define those game types as the current "endgame".
