Probably said before, but a rant about faction shaders and vendors

Yes, but only once you have attained a high rank

No, they should be earned

Yes, at rank 3

The above Poll should be entitled "Should vendors sell shaders?" RANT BELOW
Faction shaders. They're cool, right? Everyone wants to look cool. So why are they so ridiculously difficult to attain? I don't see the logic behind not having the shaders available for purchase from the Vendors. I'm sure I'm going to get that atypical, insane rant from somebody saying "You've not earned it!!!1" It's a god damn shader. Not Gjallarhorn, a shader. I can see no value to this argument when it's applied to something that's purely cosmetic and a matter of personal preference, and has literally no bearing on gameplay. Yes, I understand SOME shaders are rewards for difficult tasks, like Skolas. But what you miss, is that A. These shaders are highly distinctive in some way, generally speaking B. are only rewarded for that activity and C. Are essentially guaranteed when you run the damn task. And generally speaking, who has ever really been pleased with receiving their 10th frickin' Glowhoo or Chatterwhite, over say, an Exotic roll? I'm not saying they should be available as soon as you hit rank 3, but they should be something you can legitimately aim for properly. It's pedantism on the part of Bungie that shaders such as Revenant, or Amalthea, or Carthage (random numbers) are so unbelievably difficult to attain for some people, yet drop instantly for others. There is no need for RNG to decide this at all. TL;DR I'm sick of burying hours into getting Dead Orbit et al up to receive items I am not going to use, when I only really want one thing. I'm sure plenty of people can agree with me, but I'm sure there will also be those who disagree. I'm happy to hear counter-arguments and/or agreement, it doesn't matter to me. I'm just wondering if the community feels as I do, or at least those of us who use the forums.
