Bump. Well said Major. Bungie missed a wonderful opportunity to move beyond the Halo franchise and make Destiny it's new flagship IP. That said, we, as the end user were sold something completely different during the pre-order hype. What we bought is not what we got. 'Tis sad to see corporate politics play such an impactful role on what could have been an epic game. We all know business is business but, when it comes to that, it is bad business to alienate your customer base. In the end, everyone suffers. The developer, the distributor, and most importantly, us, the gamer.

Yeah. I think they're clinging to halo's legacy like rahool clings to exotics. What I'd like to see, or rather have fun writing is some fiction. Like the assassins creed books did. That'd be cool.
