I've always thought it should be an option. I think the issue is.. currently the server picks up your alone and finds matches for you

    Yep, but at least for Weekly Heroic Strikes, it wouldn't match you before. Not sure about additional options, but I find it to be very viable that they make it being match or not being matched at all a reality--at least prior to starting up the activity.

  • My guess is they will work it in if they can... It depends on the resources needed, and if other items have it pushed back. Like we want anything else added to the matchmaking code that could cause potential issues.

    True, though technically, that may be the case with every item they intend to add to the game for improvements. Currently, you can prevent people from further entering your group if someone else disconnects after the activity starts--it might not be intentional, but it is definitely an option. So maybe that's a place to start. I'm sure that Bungie has a lot on their plate, but I wouldn't mind seeing this added to their to-do list just as much as implementing matchmaking to Weekly Heroics was.
