Looking for Build Advice

I have a question regarding Super regeneration loops in the current sandbox, specifically for Warlocks. As a player who loves to min-max for maximum ability uptime, my ultimate goal is to build around chaining consecutive Nova Bombs using the Skull of Dire Ahamkara. However, I’m struggling to find a consistent engine for this play-style. I've tried using Bad Juju, but its performance feels too inconsistent to anchor the build. I also experimented with running a full loadout of Pale Heart legendary weapons to capitalize on their origin trait (Dealer's Choice), but the Super regeneration loop still feels lackluster and fails to deliver that rapid turnaround. Furthermore, it's a bit disappointing that thematic Exotics like Khvostov and Ace of Spades don't carry any Pale Heart synergies or benefits. Is this difficulty in chaining Supers simply a deliberate limitation of the current sandbox, or is there a more optimal Warlock build for generating Super energy that I'm completely overlooking? Any insight from fellow build crafters would be greatly appreciated.

In the current meta, there are two major types of builds. There’s hyper specialized, which go full in on a singular ability and amplifies that to the maximum, often times having 200 points in the specific stat for the maximum damage, or a generalized build that will try to get 100 in as many stats as possible. You can categorize these builds based on what they’re trying to achieve. For example, John Chunk on Warlock, when using Handheld Supernova with Contraverse Holds. Obviously, since your primary tool in the build is the Grenade, you want to buff the grenade as much as possible. Thus, 200 stats. But say, a tank build where you’re stacking sources of DR, you don’t necessarily need the extra ability damage. The reason being is that your Base Abilities, like Ascension which makes you amplified, will grant you the DR. So the goal here is to have your abilities up as often as possible, meaning you want a more flat stat distribution in order to achieve a higher uptime on a greater amount of abilities. (If I’m being honest, the Extra Damage doesn’t really matter unless you’re going all in, and even then, it only matters with the pinnacle of content, like Contest/Master Raids, GMs, etc. The damage we do outright is more than enough for the majority of content.) Just ask yourself what you’re trying to achieve with the build and whether the extra >100 stats are worth sacrificing other stat points in other areas. Maybe it is, maybe it isn’t. Edit: as for super Regeneration, I use Khvostov. You get super energy for doing damage and for getting kills. Because Khvostov does a ton of small ticks of damage, you get a bunch of super energy, and because of the superpowered bullets, you can get consistent kills on adds you aren’t even aiming at, which allows you to get like a 5 second super (assuming you also reap the benefit of Dire Ahamkara)

    • Try the Nez’s sin helmet. I got a build for that and it goes crazy in PVE. I’m getting my super back in 3-4 mins max when I’m feeding it kills with a super stat of ~90 to ~120

      • Melee build on prismatic also work wonders for Super uptime. It’s no Warlock but Prismatic Titan consecration with the right class item and all I do is just spamming super and being transcendent. The higher the enemy density the better. For Warlock Gateway artist on prismatic also works really well with the right helmet mods (like melee but for grenade). The build I currently have equipped is a bit off meta but very powerful and high ability uptime and super.

        • Use a weapon that has the attrition orbs perk. Orbs increase super so the more you create the quicker you get your super.

          • First they would need to buff skull of dire ahamkara. That exotic has been trashed since they nerfed it right around the end of the revelry
.....is there a more optimal Warlock build for generating Super energy that I'm completely overlooking? Any insight from fellow build crafters would be greatly appreciated.
Yes. The fastest Super generator in the Sandbox is Vesper Radius. Any class works, but the best is Arc. Optimizing the setup should be as follows -100 Super -100 Class Helmet- Double Dynamo Class- Double Distribution Here's the numerical breakdown: At Tier 5 Class and Super, you'll get 8% percent of your Super from Double Dynamo. At Tier 5 Class & Super, you'll get 3% of your Super from Double Distribution. At Tier 100 Class & Super, you'll effectively double both of those. So Dynamo will give you 16% of your Super, while Distribution will give you 6%. Combined, every Rift is 22% of your Super. This is the reason for Vesper Radius. Loads of Rift casting. However there are some other really quality setups you can chase on both Prismatic & Solar. Run Facet of Hope on Prismatic. Use Phoenix Dive (shortest Cooldown). Additionally on Solar, run Ember of Benevolence & Phoenix Dive. Another option in terms of an Exotic, specifically on Solar, is Boots of the Assembler with Ember of Benevolence applied. Lemme know how it goes for you. Players who have never tried this don't understand how EZ Super is on Warlock with this setup.....

              • I'm not a Warlock main, so I'll leave the build suggestions to others... but I can tell you that Microcosm has always given me LOADS of super energy back while just continuously holding the trigger on a boss. I also get good super energy chucks with Finality Auger and Mint bait & switch, but that takes a little more coordination lol

                • For pve nothing beats prismatic. You can get ults within a minute even in GM content. For pvp, it comes down to how good you are at getting kills with abilities. Bad juju is alright but I think there are far better options over it. Its as you said, bad juju is horrible so you should opt for other things

                • I guess the questions are how quickly are you activating them? How much faster are you looking to activate?
