Nearing the Start

'Ello everyone! With the major reset and changes coming to Destiny soon. I wanted to know what the community thinks about current subclasses and the new armor stat rework. If you talk about a subclass please make sure to point out for what class. Here's my opinion (Sorry for the long read / post ^^;): Ever since TFS has launched and we've had our hands on Prismatic. I've never really had a reason to touch any other subclasses except for Solar (Warlock) and Arc (Warlock) after Bolt Charge introduction. Even though we've received the Well nerf (I was happy when we got that, cause I thought I was free of running just Solar) Solar has still been kind of a requirement for most LFGs. I do enjoy Solar Warlock but I wish there was more to it besides being a support subclass...however Arc (Warlock) so far has been really fun after the additional aspect and verb! Even without the artifact mod, it feels like Arc actually hits now. (Personally I always thought to myself that Arc should be the strongest DPS subclass..but that's just my opinion). I do wish though that they gave us an actual super to use that's not Chaos Reach. Don't get me wrong it's a really great super. But Stormtrance is in a poor state in any content you throw it in and Chaos Reach just takes too long to use in a DPS setting. There's only a few spots where it's actually useful. I believe every subclass should have a one and done super. Void Warlock honestly I think they should bring up the whole "hold button to get a different variant of the super" function. So if you held it during the animation you'd get slova bomb and pressing it you'd get vortex. Same with Golden Gun and other supers there may be that has different variants of the same super. I feel like it would make the game better. Let's take Golden Gun for example. You could tap it for ad clear and hold it for DPS. Stasis (Warlock) just needs a new super because Winter's Wrath kinda sucks in my opinion. Strand (Warlock) needs a lot of fixing. For a class that is based around Threadlings...they don't do anything. The AI is pretty bad and I feel like we should of gotten aspects to give it more functionality and damage. Especially Needlestorm. That super needs something, cause on paper if you look at it's damage values it does more than Slova Bomb. According to the Destiny 2 Database SpreadSheet. But it sucks. I'm going to assume it's just the AI of the needles / threadlings. Plus the fact that threadling's from Needlestorm only does 30 more damage from normal threadlings. (368 from the super, 338 normally). Prismatic I'll keep short a sweet. Change Warlock's Arc Super and give us a fragment that increases Darkness abilities damage as well. The only issue I have with the armor change is the whole Gambler's Dodge nerf. Don't think it's fair that Hunter basically loses that functionality forcing them to stack into a stat again...where Warlock and Titan does not have this issue.

  • I was excited about YoP all the way up to the reveal of all these changes. I’ve been a major fanboy for Destiny since the beginning and have religiously pre-ordered every release. I will not be pre-ordering YoP. I’ll wait about a month and see what reviews say prior to making the decision to continue after the light n darkness saga.
