Rapid fire fusions absolutely wreck house in PVE… I’ll give you an olive branch that it really isn’t hard to hit Minotaurs with them, but fusions are decidedly great in both PVP and PVE modes.

I don't think i've run a fusion in pve since chill clip spam was a thing, and I'm sure it still is. But nowadays, even if I'm running double special, I'm still not picking a fusion.

They kinda sucked in d1 pve, but in D2 i can't think of a single time when taking a fusion into PvE or PvP has been a major throw
