Midnight is probably one of the best, most well written episodes of Doctor Who that's not only perfect in isolation but brilliantly sets up the 10th Doctor's final arc. Midnight is an absolutely fantastic episode of television...
Can't wait for RTD to ruin another thing that was once great about Doctor Who.

Yes, I am well aware of that. I'm not entirely sure what your point is supposed to be... RTD is responsible for resurrecting Doctor Who, and now he becomes the final nail in the coffin, it's ironic.

Have you seen the numbers? It's doing the worst it ever has, it's definitely going somewhere... just not somewhere pleasant. btw RTD basically confirmed it's at least going on hiatus for a very very long time.

Raw ratings numbers don’t matter as much as money made through social media interaction and other global brand money streams like merch and licensing. If the Beeb get enough money those other ways the ratings matter less. If it brought enough people to Disney+ they’ll at least consider funding more episodes even if the numbers of people who actually watch it are low. Even if Disney drop it it’s pretty likely to run on a low budget before being axed completely.
