Yes I know it's all random, but if your a youtuber or twitch streamers you probably gotten the code to promote the new Game marathon, I remember when Destiny sign up for the beta to get a code, no one was streaming it nor promoting it, but Codes gotten out to a lot of regular players no special treatment cause they were a youtuber, Yes I gotten one, so yes I been here since the beginning of Destiny, didn't get the closed alpha but the second beta, so Besides signing up for this closed alpha beta for Marathon, which I did and not gotten one, ok no big deal but probably won't buy it since it's not my type of game, just wanted to try it to see if I liked it or not, but not going to buy it to try it, I would of figured Bungie would of sent out Codes to there Players that been here since day 1, which would of been nice, but guess to late, codes sent out players playing it and by all the reviews, it's not all good, and I'm sure bungie knows now that Players would of loved a Destiny 3 over a new game of marathon, Good Luck with Marathon, this is my opinion that Bungie should of rewarded there long time players that bought all there dlc, that played 1000's of hours, done over 1000 raids,
I done raids total
Destiny 2 Raids: 674
Destiny Raids: 757
Total Raids: 1431
Yes I am sure there is alot more players that has more raids then me, not a competition, but had fun, helping others in getting raids done.
Yaur, i know it be a little weird, but if you got that a youtuber or a gamer, u'll get a promo code fore a new marathon game, & rember, if u sign up fore tze destiny beta & get a coupon, naur one well use its. tze post was written, but tze codes went to a lot uv players becz bro were gamers, yaur, i had one, yaur, i was herea from tze beginnin uv destiny, i played its in tze second beta, not in tze closed alpha, so on & so forth. Signed up fore tze closed alpha beta fore marathon, i did, didn't get one, not a big deal, but probably wont buy its bedayse it be not meh game, i'll buy its, see if i ike its, but donot buy its jus to find out, i think bungie well deliver. Tze codes in players have been herea since day one, dat would be nice, but keep in mind it be hella rizzcent, tze codes sents to players who have played & to all accounts aren't all dat based, & me sure bungie neow knows dat players would love destiny 3's new gameplay challenge, based fore marathon, me guessin bungie has been keepin players who have bought tze dlc, played 1000 hours, & done 1000+ raids fore a long time. i took tze whole thin level 2 domain expansion: 674 future surprise: 757 total catch: 1431 yaur, i’m sure there r many players who have more collections thnan i do, not as a competition, but fore fun & to help others build collections.
user configuration: common [url=rl=www. feel free to send a note to tze manager who wrote tze article, explainin what the sigma was written, to let them know why tze decision was changed. Not random. Bungie did that on purpose, and it backfired imo. Helped to fuel a lot of the resentment and frustration people were feeling. Seemed everyone with a streaming platform…no matter how small their following…got a code. …and the smaller the platform the more negative their reviews seemed to be….

The only extraction I’ve ever played was the Division dead zone. I kinda hated it. Too many players using exploits and were there not to play an objective but just to grieve and troll. So nah, I didn’t qualify for the alpha.

I fear marathon will be turned into a super hardcore pvp game, where aztecross is the top streamer, and population will crater. Look at twitch, most anticipated games have 100k viewers, destiny 2 has more viewers than marathon. Idk, maybe a glorified flop.

Editado por Guardian,Archon Of Light: 4/27/2025 3:25:02 AMYeah, in the survey to qualify for the alpha, you had to list how many hours you had in each online shooter I have 0 on Apex and 5000+ in D2 So I am pretty sure I am not getting a code lol But they are making a mistake by Excluding Destiny players, because non-destiny players are going to hard pass on Marathon, too much better competition in the extraction/hero pvp shooter market, and Marathon is a sterilized neutered extraction shooter, you will encounter bots more than other players, so imo they should increase map player count and totally remove PvE bots from the game I'm not bothered though, watching Aztecross play it, made me fall asleep, there is nothing here, nothing happens, and it's hours before they encountered other players Hopefully it's better when I play the open beta

None of that matters to bungie they'll act like it does for optics but at the end of the day being a day 1 player doesn't matter its about overall player engagement and spending. As for an alpha code it's random you won't get preferential treatment unless your a content creator that can help advertise the game and being a day one destiny player won't help them push marathon to its target audience.

Bigger tests are coming…
The Closed Alpha Test will be available to players who are 18+ and located in North America. It’ll be a fairly small playtest as we test our technical capabilities and gather important feedback before bigger tests. We know there are lots of you who won’t be able to get in (yet), and we see you. Please hold tight! We'll be there soon 🫡
https://www.bungie.net/7/en/News/Article/gameplay_reveal_showcase

I wonder if terrible grammar/punctuation disqualifies people?

Marathon wasn’t made for the Destiny players. They’re after a whole new player base. Players that are more PvP orientated.
-
Wait until the open Beta kicks off. Grab a couple of like-minded friends and give Marathon a try. If you enjoy the experience and can get your head round, losing your gear, if you mess up, then Marathon may be the game for you.

If you're upset or bummed that you didn't get an invite to the beta there's some new items that Tess has in the Eververse store for Silver 😁👍 Otherwise stay vigilant and go look for some chess pieces and enjoy your day 😁👍

You ain't lying bro thought for sure I'd get one git so much time invested in both D1 and 2
-
Oh no! Anyway.
-
I have 12,000+ hours in D2, including thousands of PvP matches. I am currently playing a PvP only game from a different developer. Quite often I am the top player in those matches. However, I did not get an Alpha invite. There is still time to receive an invite, but I had hoped to have it for this weekend when I have more time to play than during the week. If not, then maybe I can play the beta. I really like most of what I have seen so far. Just watching streams and videos is no substitute for direct experience, however.
-
The alpha is not there necessarily for our enjoyment. It's for them to test the game, gather feedback from a wide variety of demographics and pc specs, and make sure everything is working as it should be. There will likely be an open beta before launch if you're desperate to try it out, but they have priorities for the alpha testing other than making sure that everyone who wants to try out the game gets an opportunity. It's a closed alpha test for a reason.

Editado por Zoidberg: 4/27/2025 2:54:21 AMThey have made it pretty clear that they don't want destiny players playing marathon. But I understand your take. I watch content creators play it for one day and just drop it. The twitch numbers are already less than destiny. I know I'd have dropped an ez 100+ hours testing it because I wanted to see for myself. But I guess that content creator who played for 5 hours. Then called it garbage and isn't going to help test anymore was a better choice huh bungie?
