1. Cut the grind on all quests and activities BY HALF.
It's a game about grinding so removing that makes no sense.
2. Remove all “caps” from the game. This includes items and light in activities the game.
There's a limit to what they can do for certain item caps just to keep the game from running horribly and light caps in certain activities makes sense. Some of them don't, though.
3. Restore power grind and institute drop protection.
There already is a power grind and having drop protection removes the whole point of the game being an rng drop game.
4. Bring back and expand weapon crafting.
They probably won't outside of raid weapons due to the already new weapon system coming in edge of fate.
5. Reduce difficulty across the board and add difficulty options with corresponding rewards.
They don't need to dumb everything down in the game just to cater to those who can't learn how to play.
6. Add a large scale PVP mode like combined arms and lean in to the casual aspect of the mode. Do something creative and potentially persistent, like a faction war of sorts.
Pvp has never been their main focus for destiny, so no one should really be counting on that to change.
7. Treat PVP like a core activity and update accordingly.
Why? They make all their money in destiny from pve, seasonal content, and eververse, so why bother with a free to play mode that doesn't benefit them in any way.
8. Do a season that bolsters core activities, new PVP maps, strikes, gambit maps etc.
That would probably cause most to not even touch that season. No one wants a season with no story just to get a few more pvp and gambit maps.
9. Restore content from the DCV and allow for unused content to be uninstalled and played at will(I understand this likely can’t be done with some content… but I think whatever is possible would go a long way).
They don't need to bring back subpar content that hasn't been relevant to the game for years. It's also a waste of time and resources to bring back content that brings no money in.
10. Remove SBMM from the game fully and perform a community wide stat re-assessment of ACTUAL player skill to assist with lobby balancing.
No game can make a perfectly balanced lobby and, from what I've seen, none of the pvp players can agree on what type of matchmaking they want.
11. For God’s sake fix lobby balance issues in PVP.
Again, pvp has never been their main focus, so I don't understand why people can't figure out that they do the bare minimum for it.
12. Embrace downtime and focus on working, high quality content instead of here today-gone tomorrow, transient content.
Content that disappears after a set amount of time is how the game doesn't turn into another call of duty and require over 300gb just to have everything installed.
13. Focus on reducing currency bottlenecks, and allow for reasonable trade-in of bloated material.
This one seems like an alright idea.
14. Create a constantly running weapon based PVP mode.
Do you mean a weapon only mode? If so just go play CoD or something. No one is playing a game about using space magic just to not use space magic.
15. Add PVP gear, and balance weapon damage etc. In the gear allowing full separation from PVE.
They probably won't ever do this one.
16. Add a “new lights” PVP playlist for new players to access exclusively until they gear up.
They probably won't do this one either, and with pvp being free to play, you'd just end up with smurf accounts coming in to just destroy new players because they want to be d*cks.
17. Loosen up on raid mechanics so that there is effectively 2 carry positions. Essentially the should be a hierarchy of difficulty in the positions, with a point person similar to the early raids of D1.
They don't need to dumb down things just for those -blam!- to learn how to play the content.
18. Take a more aggressive, no tolerance stand on cheating starting with allowing name and shame on the forums and aggressively pursue punishment for false claims.
They definitely won't do what you suggested because you'd constantly have every pvp player who loses a match crying about someone who was just simply better than them and calling them a cheater.
19. Focus on the optics of fixing bugs and issues that negatively affect player enjoyment, over bugs that benefit the player.
There's a ton of things in the game, so naturally, it takes time to find and fix any bugs.
20. Move away from FOMO as a core design philosophy, and embrace the wealth of content available. Allow for more player choice and be confident that Destiny is a fun game. Let players experience the game, and have fun rather than
”aspire” to do so…
FOMO is a personal thing and isn't bungie's responsibility to fix how people feel about things.

For rule #18, I actually think that the community CAN do name and shame. The only thing I would change though is that if the person who originally enticed the witch hunt on a “cheater” is wrong, then that player’s own account gets banned permanently. That way, people will have to do the correct research and know truely if that person is really cheating or only just got beat by someone who was better than them. Because it’s now not just the potential offender’s account on the line but also the offendee’s too. But that’s just my wishful thinking, ig. 🤷🏿♂️

Banning someone just for saying someone cheated and being wrong is extremely dumb and how you lose those who actually play the game. If anyone wants to allow name and shame, then why stop there? Why not progress it to the point of everyone just constantly being harassed just because a lot of people can't handle someone being better than them with no proof of any real cheating? Why not let us name and shame those who do nothing but whine and complain about the things they chose to play 24/7?
That way, people will have to do the correct research and know truely if that person is really cheating or only just got beat by someone who was better than them. Banning someone just for saying someone cheated with no proof is the dumbest thing any company can do.

Honestly, much of this is just kind of craping on my suggestions, but at least you had wherewithal to engage with the topic, and I appreciate that.
Honestly, much of this is just kind of craping on my suggestions, but at least you had wherewithal to engage with the topic, and I appreciate that.
Not really crapping on them when it's just pointing out things that are either unnecessary or pointless to change. Not everything needs to be dumbed down or changed just because of some people have an inability to learn how to do things or are just incapable of doing it.
