Move away from MMO
Move away from seasons
Move away from FOMO
Move away from trying to be cute like Fortnight
Move away from exotic missions. Not all but back off some
Move away from must have builds. Aspects, fragments, mods, artifacts, etc. it’s just too much. I want to play a FPS not Might and Magic-DnD
Move away from arenas with endless overwhelming adds and terrible bosses and no cover.
Severely punish cheaters
Balance teams in PVP.
Those are just off the top of my head.

Editado por Jalapeño, Guiding Mind: 4/27/2025 12:22:43 AMI disagree. If you want to play a regular FPS there are hundreds to play. The reason I play destiny is because it is a FPS MMORPG. If I wanted to play an fps I would play Battlefield, Halo, CoD, HLL, and the list goes on. I come to destiny for those experiences, to gut them is to remove what makes destiny destiny

Copy/pasted Destiny has never been widely considered a true MMORPG. While it incorporates elements of MMOs like persistent worlds, player-vs-environment (PvE) and PvP content, and shared resources, it deviates significantly from the traditional MMO structure. Bungie itself has consistently described the game as a "shared-world shooter" or an "action MMO". Here's why Destiny doesn't fit the typical MMO mold: No Massive Multiplayer: While Destiny supports multiplayer, it lacks the scale and persistent world features of a true MMO. The maximum number of players in a group is limited, and there's no persistent global player base that interacts freely. Focus on PvE and PvP: Destiny's primary focus is on player-versus-environment activities (PvE) and player-versus-player (PvP) combat, rather than player-driven world events and player-initiated content creation. Limited Character Customization: While Destiny offers character customization, it doesn't have the depth and flexibility of true MMOs, where players can customize their characters extensively and interact with a vast range of other players and content. No Player-Driven Economy: Destiny has a limited player-driven economy, with most items and currency being obtained through game events and vendors. Bungie's Own Labeling: Bungie has consistently labeled Destiny as a "shared-world shooter" or an "action MMO" rather than a traditional MMO, reflecting their game design philosophy. Instead, Destiny is more accurately described as a looter shooter with some MMO elements. It's a game where players can find and use a variety of weapons and armor, engaging in PvE and PvP activities in a persistent online world

And I agree with that. It isn’t a true MMO. However, it is as close as you can get when it comes to FPS, and my point that removing it would take away what makes destiny destiny still stands.

Lots of good suggestions, here, but I like builds!
