Strand titan already has 2 ways to quickly refund melee energy which are a aspect and a fragment. We also already have 2 exotics that buff melee damage for more types of melee than the new exotic offers (synthoceps and wormgod). Even if the new exotic can dish out more single target damage, it adds nothing new in terms of gameplay or conceptually. To be clear the definition of redundant I am using is "able to be omitted without loss of meaning or function" because the thing it does is already in the game.
