Ok Bungie, Iron Banner is not going over so well in general. I feel the first obvious thing is the loot drop rate and ratio of IB loot to general loot. We already get some loot from match rewards and that's cool, but, IB engrams should only drop IB loot. I personally opened 12 "Packs" (aka engrams) and got 3 IB guns (2 grenade launchers, and a Energy Scout Rifle) and 2 pieces of armor (2 chest armors). Everything else was gear I could get somewhere else, about another 8 items. So basic math says, including duplicates, 5 out of the 13 items I got were IB. I got 3 new/useful items out of 12 packs. ... See the problem? Only a quarter of the gear received was valuable to me. That's extremely unrewarding for 3 days of work on multiple characters. Besides the loot issue, why is the Iron Banner only PvP? Didn't the Iron Lords defend humanity against the darkness etc.? Why are they suddenly huge fans of Guardian on Guardian violence and competition? Wouldn't they, more likely, value teamwork and dedication? With the inclusion of the Farm and indications that some people liked it enough to stay there and settle even after the city was retaken, it seems like a golden opportunity for the Iron Lords to return to their roots. This seems a perfect opportunity to make a Horde Mode Strike (or maybe something different from Strikes) that would be unique to the Iron Banner. Maybe give rewards per wave completed up to... IDK 10. Each wave increasing in difficulty, ending when all guardians die? Either adding this to the rotation of activities the IB offers or adding it every time would be welcomed. As for the IB PvP, I would suggest replacing the current modes with one or more IB unique modes. Especially, an Attack/Defend mode holding a fixed position with some martial defenses (walls, motes, some pitfalls etc.). This would fall more inline with what an Iron Lord would favor. The IB is a fan favorite and to make the event anything less than a unique and special event is a mistake. Right now, IB is a PvP additive and it limps along running on fumes of fan's memories. Myself and other fans are hoping this doesn't just continue as a Destiny 1 reboot and reskin. We want to be interested and captivated by the world of Destiny. You only need to provide the reasons.
