Armor earned from the “Leviathan, Eater of Worlds” raid lair is not displaying its prestige raid lair ornament or ornament requirements. These ornaments may still be unlocked by completing the actions listed below.

  • Helmet Ornament: Complete Prestige “Leviathan, Eater of Worlds” and the Throne Challenge
  • Gauntlets Ornament: Complete Prestige “Leviathan, Eater of Worlds” and the Gardens Challenge
  • Chest Armor Ornament: Complete Prestige “Leviathan, Eater of Worlds” and the Pools Challenge

Accessing and Restoring Licenses to Destiny Content

Destiny 2 PC Silver Purchases - Log in to Claim Before October 1

With Destiny 2 migrating from Battle.net to Steam on October 1, 2019, Silver purchases and game purchases will be disabled on September 3.

For the Silver and game purchases to successfully transfer to Steam on October 1, players MUST log in to Destiny 2 before October 1 to claim their purchases Silver, or it won't transfer to Steam and will become lost.

The option to purchase Silver will be re-enabled on Steam on October 1 when Shadowkeep launches.

Pacific Daylight Time (PDT)
Reset will be at 10:00 AM Pacific (1700 UTC) while Daylight Saving Time is active from March to November.
Pacific Standard Time (PST)
Reset will be at 9:00 AM Pacific  (1700 UTC) while Daylight Saving Time is inactive from November to March.

Destiny Server Queues

During periods of high traffic, players may encounter the Destiny server login queue. Destiny 1 and Destiny 2 will feature separate queues. Destiny server queues regulate player population to provide stable conditions for Destiny gameplay.

Please note the following:
  • If a player loses connection or is removed from the queue, their placement will not be retained
  • If a player reaches the front of this queue and is unable to connect to Destiny servers, they will have to re-enter the queue to try again
  • Queue times may vary, depending on server traffic and concurrent population

This error can be due to packet loss or disconnections between your home network and Bungie (such as ISP saturation or general internet congestion). It can even be caused by certain WiFi setups, or mobile hotspots that may have experienced a blip or loss of connection

Before proceeding any further, we strongly recommend switching from WiFi to a wired connection, at least temporarily. This is an important first troubleshooting step to rule out WiFi signal strength/stability as a possible culprit.

If you're experiencing an issue where you repeatedly hit this error and cannot log into Destiny, please attempt to force quit Destiny by completely closing the game and relaunching Destiny to get out of this state. Errors of this nature are actively monitored by Bungie to keep us aware of trending issues impacting players. Often these types of issues transpire when interruptions between host and client connections are caused due to circumstances outside of our network.

This can be the result of ISP issues, packet loss, complications with various network hardware, Wi-Fi glitches and other impacting variables to general connection stability. We recommend as a first step that players ensure their current connection is working as intended to remove any outside variables.

Update: Players who own House of Wolves but not The Dark Below may see this error when attempting to play a House of Wolves Crucible playlist. This is due to a Dark Below map being selected, but not owned, which will then result in players being returned to orbit.

TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS:
  • First, please ensure that graphics drivers are up to date. If errors continue, please attempt re-installing drivers.
  • We have also encountered reports that players attempting to play Destiny 2 on Windows 7 are bypassing this issue by manually installing Microsoft Update KB 2670838
  •  Players may need to use the Scan and Repair function to ensure Destiny 2 installed properly to the PC.

Players may encounter SAXOPHONE errors on PC when Blizzard services are unable to authenticate a player’s purchase or login when they launch Destiny 2.

This can be caused by any of the following:
  • Players do not own Destiny 2, but have it installed from a Free Trial weekend and are attempting to launch outside of a promotional window.
  • Players are attempting to launch the .exe file outside of the Battle.net launcher. Players should always launch Destiny 2 from within Blizzard’s Battle.net app.
  • Players are attempting to launch while Destiny 2 is already running on their account on another computer.
  • Battle.net authentication is under maintenance or is encountering issues. Players who believe this is the case should check Blizzard Support for information.
If players are encountering SAXOPHONE errors and do not believe they fall into one of the above categories, they should report to the #Help forums.

Termite Errors on PC
Players who encounter Termite errors when playing Destiny 2 on PC should first try using the Scan and Repair tool found in the Battle.net app.

To use the Scan and Repair tool, players must:
  1. Launch the Battle.net app
  2. Visit the Destiny 2 pane
  3. Click Options
  4. Click Scan and Repair
  5. Confirm by clicking Begin Scan
If files must be redownloaded, they will be downloaded and installed at the end of the Scan and Repair process. Once this process is complete, players should relaunch Destiny 2 and try again.

If you are seeing this error message after exhausting all troubleshooting resources please delete, then re-install Destiny.

Error Code: WEASEL

Cross Save: Players who attempt to log in to multiple platforms simultaneously while Cross Save is enabled on their account will receive a WEASEL error on which ever platform they logged in on first.

WEASEL is a split-off error that was previously grouped under other errors. This split helps expedite investigations and fixes and will be easier to understand the specific issue the player is experiencing. 

Before proceeding any further, we strongly recommend switching from WiFi to a wired connection, at least temporarily. This is an important first troubleshooting step to rule out WiFi signal strength/stability as a possible culprit.

Finding and Creating Fireteams

Legendary Masterworks Guide

Legendary Masterworks are Legendary weapons and armor in Destiny 2 that are upgraded to have modified traits. Legendary gear can be upgraded to Masterworks through the use of Masterwork Cores and Legendary Shards, but can also drop from any source of Legendary weapons for characters above 250 Power. Raid and Trials of the Nine weapons and armor will have a very high chance to be Masterworks when earned as rewards.

As players have begun to explore the depths of the Dreaming City, confusion has emerged about the expected behavior of the Ascendant buff granted by the Tincture of Queensfoil consumable. Provided below is a brief overview of this buff’s behavior:
  • The Ascendant buff provided by the Tincture of Queensfoil is removed after players return to orbit or launch a new activity
  • If players return to orbit or launch into another activity, they must consume another Tincture of Queensfoil to reactivate the Ascendant buff
  • To make sure Tincture of Queensfoil consumables are not wasted unintentionally, it is recommended that players check that they have successfully landed in their desired activity before using this consumable
