Twitch Account Linking FAQ

Q: How can a player link a Twitch.tv account to their Bungie.net profile?
A: To link a Twitch.tv account, players will need to perform the following:

  1. Log in to their Bungie.net profile.
  2. Visit their Profile Settings page.
  3. Select the "Accounts & Linking" option on the bottom-left side pane.
  4. In this section, under "Connections", find the Twitch icon and click "Link".
  5. Follow on-screen prompts to complete Twitch.tv account linking.

Q: Can a player's Twitch.tv login credentials be used to access their Bungie.net profile?
A: No. While Twitch.tv credentials may only be linked to one profile at a time, they do not in any way grant access to the linked Bungie.net profile.

Q: Can a player lose access to their Twitch.tv account if they no longer use the Bungie.net profile which it was linked to?
A: No. Twitch.tv account access will be automatically revoked from an old Bungie.net profile if it is linked to a new one. If a player has created a new Bungie.net profile, and can no longer access an old profile which was previously linked to their Twitch.tv account, they may simply re-link their Twitch.tv account to their new Bungie.net profile with their Twitch.tv credentials.

Q: Can a player link their Twitch.tv account to their Bungie.net profile using the Destiny Companion?
A: No. Currently Twitch.tv linking and functionality are not available on the Destiny Companion. If a player would like to link their Twitch.tv account to their Bungie.net profile, they must use the desktop or mobile web version of Bungie.net.

Q: What can players do if they encounter an issue linking their Twitch.tv account?
A: If a player encounters an issue linking their Twitch.tv account to their Bungie.net profile, they may perform the following steps:

  1. Completely log out of Bungie.net.
  2. Clear their browser's cache.
  3. Try again.

For players who continue to encounter issues linking their Twitch.tv account, please create a post in the #Help forums.

Q: Who can I contact if I encounter an issue with the Twitch.tv service?
A: For all other inquiries regarding Twitch.tv, to include issues accessing a Twitch.tv account, players may visit help.twitch.tv.

"Can't Stop the Signal" Emblem FAQ

Q: What reward is offered to players who link their Bungie.net profile to a Twitch.tv account?

A: Players who link their Twitch.tv account to their Bungie.net profile may stream Destiny to earn the "Can't Stop the Signal" Legendary Emblem. This emblem appears as follows:

Q: How can players earn the "Can't Stop the Signal" Legendary Emblem?
A: Players who have streamed a minimum of 77 hours of Destiny on Twitch.tv, on a Twitch.tv account that is linked to their Bungie.net profile, will receive the "Can't Stop the Signal" Legendary Emblem.

Q: Once the "Can't Stop the Signal" Legendary Emblem has been earned, where can it be claimed?
A: Players who have earned the "Can't Stop the Signal" Legendary Emblem can claim the emblem at the Emblem Collection in Tower North. It can be found under the "PROMOTIONAL" section. The initially awarded emblem can be found at the Postmaster.

Q: Is there any way that a player's streaming time may not be logged toward this reward?
A: Players may not gain credit toward hours streamed by falling into any of the following circumstances:

  • The player is streaming on an account that is not yet linked to their Bungie.net profile.
  • The player is streaming on an account other than the one linked to their Bungie.net profile.
  • The player is streaming a game other than Destiny.

Additionally, Twitch.tv may occasionally encounter issues communicating to a Bungie.net profile. For example, this may occur when either Twitch.tv or Bungie.net encounter performance issues, or undergo maintenance. Time streamed in these instances may not contribute to earning the "Can't Stop the Signal" Legendary Emblem.

Q: Do all 77 hours have to be streamed on either a single PSN ID or Xbox Live Gamertag?
A: Players may stream any combination totaling in 77 hours across either their linked PSN ID or Xbox Live Gamertag. As long as these accounts are linked to the same Bungie.net profile, with a linked Twitch.tv account, they will contribute to the same overall hours logged.

Q: Is the "Can't Stop the Signal" Legendary Emblem awarded to both a PSN ID and Xbox Live Gamertag linked to a single Bungie.net profile?
A: Yes. Once earned, the "Can't Stop the Signal" Legendary Emblem will be granted to both the PSN ID and Xbox Live Gamertag linked to a Bungie.net profile.
