What is Silver and how can it be added to an account?

Silver is the in-game currency that is acquired with real-world money and can be exchanged for items at an Eververse Trading Co. storefront. Silver is available for purchase from the PSN Store or the Xbox Marketplace. Additionally, some third-party retailers, such as physical or online retail stores, may sell game cards or codes that can be redeemed in the PSN Store or Xbox Marketplace for Silver. Can Silver be purchased using the PlayStation or Xbox websites?

Yes. Players that have completed their Silver purchase using the PSN/Xbox website, will need to log into their Destiny account on the same PSN ID or Xbox Gamertag that purchased the Silver via the website storefront. Please verify the purchase of Silver was for the appropriate region associated with the intended Destiny account. If any part of the Silver purchase was completed incorrectly, please contact PlayStation or Xbox Support.

Why is the Destiny Companion not showing an account's recently purchased Silver?

The Destiny Companion on Bungie.net or the Mobile App may not accurately reflect Silver purchases that were made while an account was not currently logged into Destiny.
  • This can impact players that are not logged into Destiny when they purchase Silver from the console PSN Store or Xbox Marketplace, the online PSN Store or Xbox Marketplace, or from redeeming a Silver game card or code.
  • The Destiny Companion will update to accurately display an account Silver balance after the player's next login to their Destiny account.

Why does an item show that it "Requires Eververse Licenses" in the tooltip?

Items that display the "Requires Eververse Licenses" message in their tooltip cannot be used or accessed until the player's account owns the Eververse Licenses for the item. To acquire the Eververse Licenses, players must receive the item through gameplay, opening a Mystery Bag type item, or from purchasing the item directly from the Eververse Trading Co. storefront or the Silver Dust Store.

Please Note: Items that have been returned using the Eververse Item Return may not be removed from the player Inventory automatically. The returned item will display the "Requires Eververse Licenses" message in the tooltip and cannot be used or equipped until the account fully purchases the item. For more information, please see the Returning an Eververse Item portion of the Silver and Eververse Guided Support
