Can I lose Items from the Postmaster?

Items held by the Postmaster may be lost if not manually placed into the Vault. Items are discarded from the Postmaster when accruing over 20 "Lost Items" or deleting a Character. The following items that will be lost from the Postmaster upon character deletion:

  • Currencies
  • Materials
  • Consumables
  • Engrams (Rare, Legendary, and Exotic)
  • Armor
  • Weapons
  • Packages from Reputation gains
  • Seasonal items
  • Emblems
  • Shaders
  • Ships
  • Sparrows
Please make sure to transfer items to your Vault or another character before deleting a character.
Also, please note that previously unlocked Sparrows, Emblems, Shaders, Ships, and Exotic Armor and Weapons can still be obtained at Collections Kiosks after a character has been deleted. For these items to be unlocked in the Collections Kiosks, they must first be received in the Character Inventory before the character is deleted. Receiving a new Sparrow, Emblem, Shader, Ship, or Exotic Weapon or Armor piece in the Postmaster does not unlock this item in the Collections Kiosk.


If items are lost from my Postmaster, can Bungie replace them?

No. Bungie does not replace in-game items that are lost, or discarded.
