How to report a Destiny, Companion App, or Bungie.net issue to Bungie
All Platforms
Before reporting an issue, please do the following:

  • Check the help.bungie.net page for knowledge base articles relating to your issue. The solution or more information may already be available here.

  • Search the Bungie Help Forums for your issue.
    • The issue you are experiencing may have already been reported. Before creating a new thread, be sure to search the forums. Searching the forums is sometimes the fastest and easiest way to find solutions to issues you may be facing.

If there is no help article or help forum thread on your issue, please create a new thread providing as much detailed information as possible. Please see the example below for what would be the most informative method to report an issue. 

Some tips:
  • The title of the thread should be descriptive but concise to help Bungie see the root of the problem. Leave the details for the body of the post.  
  • Provide a description of the issue that was observed, and list the steps that were taken to cause the issue. Include any error messaging displayed on screen. Being as detailed as possible can help Bungie investigate issues more rapidly.
  • Using the video record function on the Xbox One or PlayStation 4 is largely beneficial when reporting issues, as it can help speed up investigations or resolutions to the issue you are encountering. For more information on how to record, save, and share video clips, please check the support articles from PlayStation and Xbox, respectfully.

Example of a good issue report:
Title: Unable to complete the second mission on Earth
Platform: PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 or Xbox One.
Description: I launched the second mission on Earth “Restoration” and was unable to pass the third objective. The objective never updated and told me what to do next. 
Steps to reproduce: 
Launch the second mission on Cosmodrome
Complete the first 2 objectives
Attempt to complete the third objective
After accessing the terminal, the objective never updates and tells me what to do next.
