So, I'm going to write my impressions on classes from the beta. I was sure I wanted a warlock before the beta, but playing the beta changed that. I'm just going to write what I observed and what I think about each class. Here's what I thought of the Titan. Titans out there, don't kill me. This is just one Hunter's opinion.
Titans: I did not like Titans. Their super made you get so close to enemies that you would take serious damage. I found using Fist of Havoc in PVP was almost always a death sentence, for me. Their marginally better toughness wasn't enough to make up for the problems they had.
The grenades flat out were the worst. The pulse grenade was seriously lacking in the damage department and the flashbang grenade made enemies blind, letting you kill them without resistance. With a solar grenade or a vortex grenade the enemies would already be dead and you wouldn't even have to worry about shooting them.
Finally I didn't like the fact that playing a titan just felt to generic. It didn't feel special or new. Hunters and Warlocks were both fun and exciting experiences, but Titans just felt like another FPS character.
Sorry if you disagree with this or if you're a Titan. If you do disagree, please write why in the comment section. I have nothing against people who decided to play as Titans, I just personally disliked the class. Thanks!

Nah I'm not going to get mad at you. I'll admit that the hunter and warlock class have a few points on the Titan. in close the titan have the advantage one punch with a fully charged storm fist and both Ht and Wk are Ko if they keep their distance of course the Tt loses

i just don't think titan is for you based on your understanding of the class. heres what titan is for me: titans are really good shock troopers. their job is to literally be the first guy in and cause a crap ton of chaos within the enemy ranks and their toolset makes this really easy for them. i am going to now highlight the strengths of each of the titan abilities. bear in mind that i will focus on pvp more than pve but the concept is relatively the same. Fist of havoc: First of havoc is probably the most offensive oriented ability in the game. its only good within a certain range and you literally have to get in people's faces to succeed with it. you mentioned that when u use it in pvp its a "death sentence". i find this to be the exact opposite actually. the perks that go along with fist of havoc make you almost invincible and probably the most dangerous person in existence when using it. early on you pick up a perk that allows you to be much harder to kill when using fist of havoc. in fact there are times when i use fist of havoc when i have low health(less than half) and i survive throughout the entire animation simply due to this perk. you have a few perks to boost the range of the super as well thus increasing its viability and deadliness. there is the perk that allows u leap further when sprinting along with the perk that allows you to aim your super when in the air. There is also another titan perk that when u use fist of havoc it sends out shockwaves when used, thus increasing its range even further. fist of havoc when leveled also grants aftermath which creates an effect similar to the shock grenade(but stronger) where the shock area sends out pulses every second or so that deal massive damage. This ability is great. it literally can make capture points almost impossible to cap(or recap) and will draw out enemies from cover. There have been many times, especially in pvp, where i use my super, die, and still net kills due to aftermath. grenades: i for one love the titan grenades, it really goes with their design. the flashbang grenade while probably the least powerful damage wise probably has one of the strongest effects in the game. the blind ability is literally a death sentence. just use it before going into a firefight and it will make it really easy for you and your teammates to clean up an area since the enemy can't do anything to fight back unless they randomly do supers or something. the second grenade probably is more defensive than anything but can still be used offensively as well. the pulses this nade sends out are pretty weak doing like 60ish damage per tick in the crucible but can still kill pretty easily if people stay in its radius. but the damage isn't really the point of this grenade(just like the flashbang). its job is to simply soften people up and also draw them out cover. the first tick is almost gauranteed when used initially and people will be forced to move somewhere else making it really easy for you and your team to pick them off. defense wise you can use it to close choke points and prevent people from capping your shit. melee: the titan's melee, while nothing fancy, is really sweet. its probably the most powerful melee out of the classes being able to take out about 90% of someone's health(and shields). the perks that go along with it are really nice to. having a chance to instantly use storm fist after using it is nice(especially with armor that increases melee speed). other perks like chance of doing aoe damage(not in beta) and transfusion which instantly triggets health regeneration(not in beta) makes the titan the scariest dude in melee range. conclusion: titans probably have the most highrisk high reward factors out all the classes. alot of their abilities put them very close to the enemy and you have to make sure that they will die and you will survive before committing your abilities. i see alot of not so good titans who blindly charge the enemy shotgun in hand to go in for a melee or run in a choke point filled with dudes trying to use their super and consequently die in the process. that is not how you play a titan. titans are tactical meaning you have to use your abilites with precision to do well. you have to know when its okay to use fist of havoc and how to effectively use it.

3 RepliesEdited by KiwiFB: 7/28/2014 3:09:54 PMWouldn't say it's a class for beginners. Being such a melee supported class you have to be aware of your surroundings at all times, especially when using your super. For PvP I'd say the most handicap class is the Hunter with their GG. When playing control stats are balanced out, so for a titan having to place himself right in the enemy's face for FoH takes precision and skill in my opinion. For PvE I'd say it's a tie between titan and warlock. Titan can take a lot of damage from enemy's but Warlock has a safe super that doesn't launch him into trouble.

I love everything about the Titan except the ground smash. Faint wait for defender class

2 RepliesI felt that the Titan was a character that is for beginners. It didn't seem to have anything that required skill or to deep of strategic thinking. The Hunter needs to be accurate with the knife and the Warlock's Glide is apparently "the worst jump skill" when, in fact it is probably the best. You just need to use it right and know HOW to include it in battle. The Titan didn't feel like it had anything if never had before. The jump ability? Exact same thing as jetpack from Halo. The grenades were pretty bad, though I do like the flash bang. I as well always say myself dying by bosses after attempting (yes, attempt) to hit them with Fist of Havoc.

I think Titan's are strong, that flash grenade is really good, better than hunters first. Titans throw that and can gun down a blinded group which are firing off all over the place without hitting anything. Think they will be one of the best group based classes when they get the shield sub class also.
