First Impressions PvE
So I sat down to check out 2.0 tonight and focused on PvE as I'm bollocks at PvP. Here are some of my thoughts:
- Enjoyed the new array of Vangard Bounties. Nothing mind blowing, but it was refreshing to see kill orders for certain types of enemies or using certain damage type. I like that better than "Go here and farm this."
- Tracking bounties! Still getting used to it displaying when you activate your ghost as I went into the menu many times to look for it. It's a nice feature!
- Ghost shell. I picked up a Relic Iron one and leveled it. It's nice to have the point out. The drawback is that the node pointer doesn't disappear when you grab it. Hope that changes in the future.
- Patrols. Maybe I was missing something, but completing patrol missions no longer gave me faction rep. It was an overly grindy way to get rep, but the little boosts you could get while completing bounties was nice. Did anyone else notice this?
- My Vestian Dynasty felt incredibly powerful. And love my new Bad Juju, which auto completed!
- No No Bot was enjoyable to hear. His new comments were fun to hear. I do wish they had made the voice change part of the lore somehow, but I didn't find myself missing Dinklage as much as I thought I might.

1 ReplyI agree that the new bounties seem like a breath of fresh air, but I'm pretty sure they are going to feel a bit more grindy than the old ones after a while. Hopefully they will have a wider range of bounties now with 2.0 so we aren't doing the same thing over and over again. I also picked up the relic iron ghost shell though I think now that we can turn mats in for faction rep I will pick up the other shells as well so I can start picking everything up again. Honestly it always kind of bugged me to run by a resource node without picking it up so that will be a good change. I will have to try the vestian dinasty again, I was trying out sniper and shotty last night and the shotty feels super ineffective now, but I was never really good with them anyway. I checked the Gunsmith this morning and even though I got the popup on log in that weapon orders were available he wasn't carrying any, so not sure if that was a glitch or not, hopefully this evening he will have them. I was surprised to see a new mission type - I did one where I had to repeatedly pilot my sparrow through glowing spots. It bugged me too to not see any rep changes when doing the little missions. [spoiler]scavenger wolves?! They were immune to everything I threw at them.[/spoiler]
