We seek to complete the end game material together and to dominate the crucible as well. We will have a division leader for the PvE side of the game and a separate division leader for the PvP side of the game. You are welcome to do both, but this is to provide members with as much specific information as possible. We want to offer as many answers to questions as we can and we are going to work hard to help you. This is a competitive guild but with no requirements of posting to forums or playing a certain amount. Play the game when you can, and enjoy the people that you play with. If you have any questions about the clan, please message Gunmetal Mayhem (GT Gunmeta1 Mayhem).

Clan Inflation

As much as I want a large thriving community, I don't want to be in a clan where there are so many people that everything tends to get lost and feel distant. So I guess this is a question for the leaders, Is there a maximum amount of players that we are looking for? This may only be a concern of mine but I'd rather be in a clan of quality over a clan of quantity. Do you guys share this concern or am I just being a little paranoid?

In Destiny the clan cap is 75, so we will obviously never go over that. To be honest with you, our leadership team feels that some of the people that have selected to join our clan will not actually join the clan at launch. Our goal is to have around 40-50 members. That being said, some members are going to be a lot more active than others. With groups in the game rarely ever being more than six, we think that the clan will develop its own cliques inside the clan. I do not mean that as a bad thing. I think that the people that really want to focus on PVE are going to tend to stick together and the people focused on PVP are going to stick together. Many players will do both and they will kind of develop into their own third group and hit each other up and figure out what they are wanting to do that day. The quantity of members is something that has been discussed with the leadership team and to be honest, we are wanting to see how launch goes. If we have 50 members that are all active and helpful to each other then that is the best case scenario. But I believe that some people that have joined this group will not have the game right away. Others will switch last minute and join up with some real life friends that they did not know were getting the game. Others will probably get booted for being disrespectful to clan members. I am not trying to be pessimistic, but I think if we have 50-60 members in this group, the numbers will be down to 35-45 within a week of launch. Which is around the target. We want enough people in the clan to always have someone to play with, but not enough people in the clan that we do not know each other. To quote the Cheers theme song, "Sometimes you want to go, Where everybody knows your name, and they're always glad you came." So I guess to answer your question in a shortened version, wait out the storm of launch and see what the numbers look like. And I promise that there will be no members that are forgotten due to the size of the clan. That is one reason that the leadership team tried to stay away from the normal rank structure. In most FPS clans, people will try to suck up to people that can promote them. We want everyone to be equal. We aren't getting paid, we aren't being deployed. We are real life people with real life issues that come before the game. So I do not want anyone to ever feel like they are ostracized. I want everyone to be like, Mayhem (or Paul) just logged in, let's see what he is up to today. Or there is Widiam, the other day that guy really helped me get through a part of the story that I was struggling with, lets see if I can help him with something today. We aren't family (sorry Gunmetal Shadow but my wife is more important than even you), but I want us to be excited when we get the opportunity to play this game with each other. Please let me know if I missed anything or if have any other questions.
