Database information
Unless bungie provides a drop chart well have to find a very good DB for this game.
dropchart meaning what monster/boss drops what, and reverse item lookup would be good if it showed you how to obtain the item aswell.
ive stumbled on a few but its too early too tell, itll be the opening week to really see which one nails down everything but just keep a eye out

The Beta didn't seem to indicate there was but the only mission you would have expected it was the Strike. Perhaps they removed Septimus Prime's loot table to keep it under wraps? On the flip side the Reavers did seem to have some sort of dedicated loot table.

Assuming its not just completely random apart from mission rewards anyway. DestinyDB.com is good and would probably do this info, it has alot of "spoiler" type information.
