The Taken King

On 6/9/15 Kotaku contributor Jason Schreier via an article found at: http://kotaku.com/leak-destinys-new-expansion-is-the-taken-king-out-sep-1709972043# wrote that he had received confirmation via a private source that the next episode of Destiny will be dropping on September 15th 2015. This "news" started a small frenzy. The article really didn't confirm much but I want to recap what there was. The installment is to be called "The Taken King". We will finally get new subclasses for our Guardians consisting of "electrical storm for Warlocks (arc); a gravity bow for Hunters (void); and a flaming hammer for Titans (solar)". We will also see new PvP maps, Strikes and a Raid with the fabled "Oryx" appearing as the end boss. There were also leaked photos of RedBull packaging for a Destiny tie in. I will discuss those in a different post. Of this info here is what has been confirmed so far.... NOTHING! Keep that in mind boys and girls. As per the usual Bungie company line, absolutely nothing from that article has been confirmed. Thoughts and rumors say that Bungie will give details at E3 2015 which runs from June 16th through the 18th. My thinking is this, traditionally even when Bungie makes an announcement/announcements there is very little quantifiable detail in the information provided. They do not confirm or deny rumors. Heck they barely acknowledge that the rumor even exists. Even then anything presented or leaked is subject to change and often does. Keep that all in mind before getting too excited.
