Glimmer is the hardest thing to get for forging exotics tbh. If were you capped 100k, forging would be so simple it would rather be pointless even charging to do it. This game has an economy and the ability to be rich would ultimately make glimmer useless
People spend it before they cap anyway, so they're still making and spending the same amount of Glimmer, the only difference is that they're forced to spread out their purchases, instead of doing them all at once.
Exactly. It forces you to have to go back out and farm glimmer. Say you're gonna reforge armor for 7k. You're capped at 25k. So you can forge 3 exotics at a time. If there was no cap ppl could go farm glimmer when they're bored and say get 200k. You could forge all you want and never worry about glimmer again. It adds a sense of difficulty limiting you on what you can buy at a time instead of getting one of everything on the menu
Though to be fair, all it means is that people like me end up spending a couple of hours mindlessly farming Glimmer on the Exclusion Zone or in the Vault of Glass.
I don't find Glimmer farming fun, but it's the most efficient way of getting enough Glimmer for Xûr before he leaves. I'd be happier if they removed the Glimmer cap.
