When he was human?
He worked as a mercenary or something, until he got a little wild and partially destroyed a space station. That put him steeply in debt.
He spent some time as a guard at the Ishtar Collective on Venus, where he was guarding either Maya directly or just the work she was doing in general.
It’s unclear which came first. Ishtar or the space station.
Later, that debt came calling and that is how he found himself working for Clovis Bray in the Exo program.
Finally, during the Collapse, he faced the Darkness and even after becoming a Guardian he retained a partial memory of the encounter.
His memories of Ace, his son, and wife are uncertain. He doesn’t know if they are truly real or a fabrication. He likes to think so, as it gives him something to aspire to.
