I want to know what the community's favorite strike is, based on the boss battle alone. Can we get a good discussion about what makes a great final fight to any of these missions? Any fresh ideas or things that could make them better?

6 RepliesI loved the mission that you go into a ship and kill an archon priest. Forget which one it is. (Not talking about the strike)

Undying mind.. For sure

Templar and Atheon are probably the most fun.

My fave is omnibiatch

I like the Frankenskank... I mean Omnigul Fight. No particular reason why, I just enjoy it. I normally play on Xbone, but over the weekend played Undying Mind on ps4, and that is also a fun one & a nice change of pace from the normal strike playlist. Dust Palace sucks though.

7 RepliesEdited by SwankyButters: 2/7/2015 7:42:39 AMMy favorite was the 3 knights who guard the sword of Crota. I was so shocked when I picked up the sword and was in 3rd person mode... It was really great and at the time a minor challenge. It was unexpected and that was the first time I thought... this game might actually have something worth sticking around for. Since then... short of the raids, not so much. There are really no surprises and that's what's missing in boss battles and the game in general. Cool and fun things you have to deal with, to discover, to explore.

Archon priest wins it for me. If you don't cheese it, it is the most mobile boss fight in the game. Actually feels like what a boss should be.

Ran vog with my two friends got to templar waited for enrage omg most fun I've had in destiny for the longest time

4 RepliesPhogoth was an impressive strike for me, especially when I first ran it. Yes, as I've gotten better and increased my arsenal Ole Phogy has become an easy and quick target, but I still love this strike. Having the boss chained up and then eventually break free created tension in the fight and made the boss seem incredibly threatening. The atmosphere of the strike paired with the boss' intimidation factor make this a favorite of mine.

1 ReplyShould have made a poll... But my favorite has to be Cerberus Vae III I like how you get a good run of different actions to go through before the boss. Your standard mob killing. Wave of mob making it interesting, and then a bitching tank battle before racing to the end. Granted the end fight isn't all that impressive as the boss is mostly a bullet sponge and that's all, but it's still my fav.

4 RepliesThe one we didnt get at the end where we fight the Heart itself while it spawned increasingly harder mobs as its health went down, even ones particular to this fight only. Then when you get the Heart below 25% it generates a Shield around it that is tied to specific mobs that must be killed before the heart can take damage again, but only for a short time before regenning the shield again. Then when the heart is dead your forced to escape from the Black Garden on your sparrow while the "fleeting darkness" the Heart released upon dying tries to eat you. Then after a 3 minuet or so ride you manage to find a portal still open that connects back to Mars and ports you instead in a plain of existence unknown to even the vex. The Stranger reveals she actually managed to change the portal exit before you entered it and brought you here to her "Sanctuary" instead of Oblivion where the portal actually lead. She then explains that even with the Heart destroyed the darkness will still find a way to thrive, be it from other cooperating forces or even Time itself. She then opens up another portal leading back to the tower and thanks you for your efforts and gives you her Weapon. The Speaker then gives his speech but afterwards has a private chat with the player about the weapon she gave you. Something about how certain parts of it shouldnt even exist yet and about possibly making it stronger. Lastly your given another Bounty to complete which has you actually making that weapon stronger by killing stuff with it....Alot of stuff.

1 ReplyI think Templar is, by far, the best boss fight in the game right now.
