Dear bungie!
I am very concerned about what you are looking at and listening to.
Out of everything that should be done to improve the gameplay experience, you decide to downgrade the weapons we like to use to force us into using some shotgun, just because your statistics tell you we don't use them in PVE? Come on, get real. Could you please hire professionals? Is it too difficult to put a brain in the head of your statistician?
Even if he's someone's son/daughter, I don't care, but does that mean he has to rule on millions of players's gaming experience just because he made some brainless conclusion from the reminiscences of his stat course?
So let me try to show you how stupid his analysis is, and how your decision will lead to a big "FO destiny" for many:
Most important point: your game has people playing it and such a big community for the PvE only. And more specifically for the raids. Without the VOG, no destiny. PERIOD!!! Crota added so little it's a great thing you had the VOG set the tempo!! Can you understand that? I mean, can you understand that this team is good??? I know it may be difficult for you to admit it, yet this is where the quality is in your game, hence it is where quality can be found in your company.
Now let's go more Attila!!
I understand you have metrics and you want to be put as both PvE and PvP game, but that's wrong. And you can change whatever you want, the community will never see it as such. In fact, it is not because you carry a fundamental error in your overall strategy that you should run after it and consistently try to redefine the components of the game to force people into doing something that will artificially satisfy a check box no one cares about, financiers first?
Indeed, let's talk money, if that's what it is all about. I would destroy your shareholders committee and get all fired if I was a majority owner. The lack of vision and understanding of the market you created is absolutely scandalous. Destiny is not what you try to make it: a combination of many different likes. Destiny is a new milestone. An explosion for which the market is changing. Non geek players are now all addicted to your game. Y? Because of the raids and strikes. Period.
Let merry to describe the pitfalls in your PvP understanding.
Epilogue: players hate your PvP.
1) They play it only for bounties to upgrade weapons they use in PVE.
2) They play it for exotic bounties (once only because they quickly realize most PvP exotic bounties weapons are shit)
3) they find the maps ridiculously small, with a ridiculous amount of players. (You know BF puts 45 people on huge maps right? You must know that given your fanatism for PvP?)
4) they find ridiculous to have to deal with different attributes, jumps, supers, powers...
5) they find the rewards m ridiculous or incoherent with results/skill
6) they play it because it is the easiest way to lvl up in this game as they struggle too much, alone, in the PVE section either because of its repetitive aspects or because of the eternity it takes them to beat a superior enemy.
7) they play PvP because they want to increase their grimoire.
So if you listen to us, then you will know how desperate we all are for the upcoming Battlefield Hardline. You simply can't compete with them in terms of pvp, yet you put all your efforts into trying to even if it means losing the clients you have who find more and more difficulty looking at destiny as a PVE game.
On a side note, you dare to focus on PvP and downgrade weapons at a time when all players ask for significant improvements and bug/glitches fixes in PVE?
Nonsense.
I just can't wait to see what decision you will take when PvP addicts will have abandoned destiny for BF, and all you'll be left will be disappointed PVE players desperately waiting for the new games to come out.
It's sad, but this is called failed management!
