Discipline vs Strength?

Hey everyone. This is might come off as a little noobish but why would anyone choose strength over discipline? I feel like grenades are more important vs your melee attack. That goes to say I only really use my level 31 titan (so I can't really speak about the melee's of the other classes). I just feel like it's a no brainer. Like how many times do you really use your melee? In PVE it might be fine but what about when it's a light switch nightfall? Or PVP, unless you are really at close quarters, do you really utilize your melee vs your grenade? Yes there are perks for Titans such as force barrier but that's all I can really think of. I'm just saying that I like to gear my titan with maxed out discipline and of course intellect for my supers. I run a level 31 Titan with maxed out discipline and about 62% intellect. In PVP I absolutely -blam!- with my armamentarium with the extra nade and I use sticky ones for that instant kill/postmortem. [b]Anyways, I would to hear from you how strength can have its advantage over discipline both in PVE and PVP. Also how does it relate to each class? Which class has the best melee and melee perks? • It really comes down to how YOU run your subclasses. I was always 100% Intellect/Discipline on my Gunslinger until The Dark Below dropped. Now I pour everything I can into Strength because I'm always running Bladedancer with Blink Strike/Escape Artist in Crota's End. Always having my melee available means that I can be invisible at the drop of a hat.
