Is the FWC hc not very good?

It's pretty bad. Fate bringer from the vex raid is good if you want to grind for a 300 max attack hand cannon on hard mode. The dead orbit and new monarchy hand cannons are good if you want to grind faction packages. Buying the devil you don't is an option, but the gun doesn't shine. Same goes for the crucible hand cannon. But if you get a cannon from a package, check to see if it has perks that increase range, reload speed, and/or magsize. Fire fly, crowd control, high caliber rounds and explosive rounds are also good perks to have. I use my old The Devil You Know, Fate Bringer, Thorn, and Last Word. Also seeing as how you are a hunter, as long as you have the gunslinger perk Chain of Woe, you don't really need to worry about reload speed, especially in PvE.

Oh ok, I will start grinding NM then (I like the specs a little better). Knowing me I will have impulse and buy the 1969 though haha.. but it's okay.. by the time I level the faction, I'll have plenty of marks. I initially went FWC because of the armor (which I still may do) but I really want a good HC. I would consider a better scout rifle too, but I kinda want a new HC first.
