My favourite part;
Ur - an ancient place in the Middle East.
I do find though, that the people who mock you are most likely the ones that make these mistakes. They put it down to laziness, but in actual fact, they haven't realised their error or they're too afraid to ask for help, with grammar such as this, when it should be considered as basic English.
Some of the responses that I have read, taunted you as being obnoxious or above your station. What some people don't realise, in the very nature of what they are saying. 'Who gives you the write to correct me'. It also could be said. They have no right in telling you what you can't write.
The laughable parts of one of these threads is the belittling threats that occur, which only inherit-ally belittles the colourful critique.
You have every right to draw an informative thread, the only issue here lays with the reader, as they perceive it too close to their heart, take offence and cannot contain their emotion.
If you want to mock this thread, maybe you should see a therapist for your sensitive and behavioural issues, so that you understand that opinions are as light hearted and negotiable as choosing your favourite meal from KFC.
Enjoy.

Section four please! Although I must add my point was not about grammar it was about the enjoyment of the ops thread and the reaction it delivered. However, carry on if you want to take this line, I'm interested in what you have to say.

Just bump:-)

6th section: "...the only issue here lies...."
-
May I ask for a stewards enquiry and state that the op posted the thread at an earlier time figuring the issue has already happened leaving me to render the verb 'lay' as correct - with past tense being my argument.
-
Unfortunately, proper English grammar is to maintain your verb tenses throughout the idea. During that section, you refer to the op in the present tense ("You have every right... as they perceive... take offence, and cannot contain...." As such, your argument would then require you to change all of your other verbs, rather than just lays. There are a couple other corrections I could offer (specifically things that were probably the result of auto-correct screwing you over. Most notably is section four), if you would like.
