The legend of SmoggyPluto

(Original credit, goes to WedgedLamb, who posted this golden reply on http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/93312725/0/0 )
I've played with SmoggyPluto before, I'll tell you, that bro deserves it. He's always got his teammates back. He'll jump in there when your taking fire. Literally took multiple bullets for me. One time I lost my dog and he found it for me. He lent me money when I was behind on bills. Taught me how to change a tire. Honestly I can't think of anyone who deserves the gjallahorn more.
It made me laugh, as did the response to it. So I figured I'd post it so we could all share our stories of this legendary guardian. Smoggy, we salute you. Edit: Loving the response so far, keep them coming guardians. I wonder if/when Smoggy will see this? What would he say? Edit2: We are now trending. Edit3: These responses required archiving. • There was a time, shortly after I had graduated from college, when I was really down on my luck. My parents had recently passed away, and I had no job and no where to go. I was crashing at friends houses and applying for jobs, but I was dead broke. I finally found a good job opportunity, and was driving to the job interview when my car ran out of gas in the middle of an intersection. Im ashamed to say it, but I broke down. I didn't have any money for gas, and I needed to get to this interview so I could at least have a shot at a job and make something of my life. While I was sitting in my car, praying for a miracle, I heard a knock on my window. I rolled it down, and saw someone looking at me. "Need a push, friend?" The stranger said to me. I offered a quick thanks and hopped out and steered while the person got behind me and pushed me into the gas station. I said to push it just to the side and I would try calling some friends. This stranger asked why, and I said I didn't have any money. Without saying another world, the stranger helped me push my car to a pump and used a credit card to fill up my tank. I said I didn't have the money to repay the kindness and I was told to not worry about it. I asked why "why are you helping me?" The stranger smiled and said "its a small, small world and that we all need to help each other whenever we can." I asked for a contact number so I could repay the debt, and the stranger shrugged and started to walk away. "I don't need repayment. Your thanks is enough. And the thing I want most, money can't buy. I just have to get lucky." As the stranger walked away, I shouted, well at least tell me your name. "Smoggypluto" the answer floated back to me. "And good luck at the interview with Bank of America." I heard after. It wasn't until after i had the interview and started working at Bank of America that I realized I never told the stranger that day where I was interviewing at. After all this time, I hope this is the thing you've been waiting for smoggypluto. And thanks.
