? Winning your gunfights takes no skill? Regardless the post is about what's more helpful, not dying and getting a decent amount of kills or getting the highest score but dying a lot.
8000 score and 0.5 KD
OR
4000 Score and 2KD
Now which would you rather have on your team?
Assuming both teams held an equal amount of zones throughout the match so overall zone multiplier evens out at a ratio of 1:1 per person?
Also that is an excuse people with low KD use to make their shotgun rushing 1 for 1 trades seem more worth it than they are...
True skill is shown by high spm alongside a good KD of at LEAST 1.0 and preferably 1.5 or HIGHER
It depends on your positive net contribution towards your team... KD helps that and makes it possible in the first place and increases your net contribution as it increases while SPM only increases your net contribution if your KD is positive...
Also capping and defending flags and locking down spawns is VERY beneficial and in theory some of your team mate's net contribution comes from your actions (if you capped or defended well or looked down the good spawn) and that means it is theoretically PARTIALLY your contribution not theirs as without that they would not have it so yeah...
