From experience it seems that the team with more kills is more likely to win. This is actually one of my problems with Control, I don't think that the objectives give enough points. I would prefer a system where if you capture all three locations, every player in any of the locations would receive a steady stream of points until an enemy player stepped into one of the locations. This would be similar to the system used to open the first door at the VOG.

  • Like cod in domination where points accumulate periodically by flags controlled and unaffected by kills or deaths.

  • Probably, I haven't played COD in forever because I prefer more story in my games. The modes in COD that I remember being fun were kill confirmed, gun game, and the one where you only had the crossbow and a knife. Destiny doesn't have the equivalent to any of those modes. Destiny needs a lot more types of games to play, all of the existing modes seem to be death match variants.

  • Yea cod stories are short. But better than destiny lol. The one with crossbows and tomahawks is called sticks and stones.

  • I agree: the Modern Warfare games had an epic story compared to Destiny. I was thinking it was sticks and stones, but I thought that I was wrong. Silly me.

  • Did you look at the back of the destiny case under the second picture where is states destiny has "rich cinematic story-telling?" Lmao.

  • My theory is that the people who wrote the original story had an absolutely amazing story written, and the gameplay team had the game mechanics finished a year before release. Somehow two factions developed between those who wanted to focus on PVP and those who wanted genuinely "rich cinematic storytelling". As a result of the conflict, a bunch of people left the studio. A bunch of promotions were made, and the resulting producers didn't have any experience with creating a video game. Since they didn't know any better, they made a lot of noob mistakes with Destiny. When fans began to complain after release, they panicked, and started addressing the concerns that they understood the most, PVP complaints, by nerfing weapons and removing loot caves. They've been on a downward spiral ever since.
